For By Grace Are Ye Saved Through Faith; And That Not Of Yourselves:
It Is The Gift Of God Not Of Works, Lest Any Man Should Boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:8-9-10 KJV
Gift Of GraceMothers Are Forever
Before the child is born,
Anxious prayers ascend to heaven, The young mother depends on God, To nurture the life she's been given. When the mother hears the first cry,
The tiny child claims her heart, A bond that cannot be broken,
Deep passionate love from the start. God is the author of this love,
To each mother it is given, To minister to a newborn child,
A new life bestowed from heaven. When the child grows old,
The mother's love is still there, For she has not left her duty,
She still wraps the child in prayer. Remember your mother,
Honor her with your love, For she is the gift that was given,
To you from God above.

MEMORY LOSS IN A NATION
Deuteronomy 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
Intro: God warned Israel NOT to forget God! EVERY nation needs to remember God.
The Bible says of ALL nations:
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
LOSS OF PRAISE … Deuteronomy 8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
When we do not praise God shows that we have forgotten:
The Source of our prosperity
The Source of our power
The Source of our protection
LOSS OF PURITY … Deuteronomy 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
In our laws ~ In our leadership ~ In our lifestyle
Divorce ~ Debt ~ Death - murder, abortion ~ Deceit
LOSS OF PRAYER … 2 Chronicles 32:20 And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.
Our loss of prayer shows that we have forgotten God,
A. We have forgotten the profit of prayer
B. We have forsaken the power of prayer
C. We have even forbidden the practice of prayer!
LOSS OF PEACE … Isaiah 48:22 There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
Wake up, America!
Look up, church!
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great Godand our Saviour Jesus Christ;

I Cor. 15:51, 52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.I Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.Rev. 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Rev. 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Rev. 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
HEAVEN
Revelation 22:12 ( Jesus said) “...behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
I shall never forget when I was told by my employer that I would be transferred to Albuquerque, New Mexico. We were living at Owensboro, KY. I had never traveled into the western part of our country before that time.
I immediately began searching all of the information I could find about New Mexico, as if I was going to some foreign country. I wanted to know something about the place where I would be living, the people, the climate, the environment……everything.
Now, let’s consider, as people of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are bound for a place called Heaven. Have you ever thought much about Heaven? What would it be like to be there? I very sure it wouldn’t be like some depict it to be, like, you’re floating around on a cloud with a halo above your
head, a harp in your hand, doing dull things all the time.
I personally think that Heaven is a very exciting place, a place much different than anything we have ever experienced. The Scripture tells us much about heaven in Revelation 21:4. Most of what He tells us, we won’t be able to fully grasp or understand. First of all, let’s consider that, one aspect of heaven is, “former things ( things pertaining to this life) are passed away,” we won’t be perplexed by memories of bad things we have experienced in
this life. This verse also says, “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, neither sorrow, nor crying, ” as the song says, No tears in Heaven, nothing to cry about. And then it says, “there shall be no more death,” no funeral parlors, no undertakers, hearses, caskets, or graveyards. And finally this verse says, “neither shall there be any more pain.” Imagine, no more arthritis, angina pain, headaches, toothaches, no need for aspirin, Bufferin,
narcotics…….no need for any of this because, THERE’S NO MORE PAIN.Heaven is such a marvelous, magnificent place we can’t imagine how beautiful, how pleasant, how comforting it is to be there and experience the things God has in store for those who love Him, I Corinthians 2:9 “as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the
heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” Everything will happen Very quickly when Jesus comes back to rapture, snatch away, His followers, those who have trusted Him as personal Savior. We who are alive at that time will be changed, have a perfect body like unto Him, and those of us who have died, will be resurrected, our spirits, that
have been in heaven with Him will return with Him and be reunited with our bodies, which have been glorified and we will , both living and deceased saints, be forever with Him who died for us. See following Scripture:

My Wonderful Savior
What a wonderful, wonderful Savior I have. Each day I praise His precious name.
I am forever indebted for His sacrifice. His honor and glory I’ll always proclaim.
My Savior walks hand in hand with me.When I am in need, I just call His name.He calms my soul when I’m in distress.
He never changes ~ He’s always the same.
He always knows when I’m feeling down, and in Him I can always confide.
He reaches out and draws me near to Him,for He is ever close by my side.
What a wonderful, wonderful Savior I have.I am thankful for God’s love and grace.
He loved me so much with an undying love,He sent His own Son to die in my place.
I look forward to Jesus returning for me.My wonderful Savior, I can’t wait to see.
For I am His child and He promised, that where He is, I also will be.
When I stand before Jesus on Judgment Day,He will judge, but also defend.
For by shedding His blood at Calvary,His righteousness covers my every sin.

A Mother's Walk
The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is this the long way?" she asked. And the guide said, "Yes, and the way is hard. And you will be old before you reach the
end of it. But the end will be better than the beginning".But the young mother was happy, and she would not believe that anything could be
better than these years. So she played with her children, and gathered flowers for them along the way, and bathed them in the clear streams. As the sun shone on them, and the
young mother cried, "Nothing will ever be lovelier than this".Then the night came ... the storm ... the path became dark. The children shook with fear and cold. The mother drew them close and covered them with her mantle. The children
said, "Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near. No harm can come to us."Then morning came. There was a hill ahead, and the mother and her children climbed and grew weary She would frequently tell the children, "Keep your patience because
we are almost there."So the children continued to climb. When they reached the top they said, "Mother, we
would not have done it without you."When the mother laid down at night, she looked up at the stars and thought, "This is a better day than the last, for my children have learned fortitude in the face of hardness.
Yesterday I gave them courage. Today I have given them strength."The next day, strange clouds appeared which darkened the earth ... clouds of war, hate,
and evil. As the children groped and stumbled, the mother said, "Look up! Lift your eyes to the light!"
The children looked. They saw above the clouds, an everlasting glory, and it guided them beyond the darkness. That night, the mother said, " This is the best day of all, for
I have shown my children God."The days went on, and the weeks, and the months, and the years. The mother grew old and she was little and bent over. But her children were tall and strong, and walked with courage. When the way was rough, they lifted her, for she was as light as a feather. At
last they came to the top of a hill. They could see a shining road with a golden gate that opened wide. The mother said, "I have reached the end of my journey. I now know that the end is better than the beginning, for my children can walk alone, and their children
after them."The children said, "You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone
through the gates." They stood and watched her as she went on alone. The gates closed after her. The children said, "We cannot see her, but she is still with us. A mother like
ours is more than a memory. She is a living presence."Our mother is always with us. She's the whisper of the leaves as we walk down the street. She's the smell of bleach in our freshly laundered socks. She's the cool hand
on our brow when we're not feeling well. Our Mother lives inside our laughter. She's crystallized in every tear drop we shed. She's the place we came from ... our first home. She's the map we follow with every step we take. She's our first love and our first heart-
break, and nothing on earth can separate us from her ... Not time ... not space ... not even death!
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

THE GOSPEL STORY .....by Sarah Smith Reid
I loved Him then when I first saw Him, the God of all, incarnate in a little one, And virgin born, so humble, helpless and with all so holy.
The fairest of the fair was He, my heart was lost in adoration. And the time when they took the trip up to the temple when He was twelve.
I was among the crowd that stood astonished at His wisdom and wondered when He said,He was about His Father’s business, I did not understand.
Some years elapsed before I heard of Him again. When John was at Jordan and was baptizing, He cried,
“Behold the Lamb of God, and I looked, and found my heart was strangely drawn,And thought Him altogether lovely.
I saw the many miracles He did, The blind were given sight, the lame could leap,And I knew Lazarus, and often heard him tell,
How this man, called him by his name, and waked him from the sleep of death. Then too, I loved Him for the words He spoke,
So true and right and simple, that the common people heard Him gladly. He promised comfort to the broken hearted,
Deliverance to the captive, and rest for the sin-sick soul.I cannot tell the half of it, He did so much for everyone.
But leaders of the synagogue were jealous,And hated Him without cause.
And wicked fury fanned the flames of wrath,Until one day they led Him to a hill called Calvary.
They crucified Him there between two thieves.I watched Him die, and somehow sensed it was for me,
And that my sin had nailed Him there--------------I told you at first, “I thought I loved Him”,
But never ‘til that day did my heart know what real love was.
They buried Him, but on the third day He arose, and left the tomb.He walked for forty days upon the earth. He showed His wounded hands and feet,
And the words of Thomas found an echo in my heart,“My Lord and my God”.
He said to tell this story to the farthest part of the earth. That we should be witnesses to His love,
And the power to save the lost.
Then He ascended into heaven,And is now seated at the right hand of our God,
From whence He will come again,To judge the quick and the dead.
So simple is my story, but so powerful its’ truth. That were you to believe with all your heart and soul,
According to the Scriptures,He would save you,--------even now!

Mother's Song Author Unknown
My heart is like a fountain trueThat flows and flows with love to you.
As chirps the lark unto the treeSo chirps my pretty babe to me.
And it's O! sweet, sweet! and a lullaby.
There's not a rose where'er I seek,As comely as my baby's cheek.
There's not a comb of honey-bee,So full of sweets as babe to me.
And it's O! sweet, sweet! and a lullaby.
There's not a star that shines on high,Is brighter than my baby's eye.
There's not a boat upon the sea,Can dance as baby does to me.
And it's O! sweet, sweet! and a lullaby.
No silk was ever spun so fineAs is the hair of baby mine.
My baby smells more sweet to meThan smells in spring the elder tree.
And it's O! sweet, sweet! and a lullaby.
A little fish swims in the well,So in my heart does baby dwell.A little flower blows on the tree,
My baby is the flower to me.And it's O! sweet, sweet! and a lullaby.
The Queen has sceptre, crown and ball,You are my sceptre, crown and all.
For all her robes of royal silk,More fair your skin, as white as milk. And it's O! sweet, sweet! and a lullaby.
Ten thousand parks where deer do run,Ten thousand roses in the sun,
Ten thousand pearls beneath the sea,My babe more precious is to me.
And it's O! sweet, sweet! and a lullaby

No one can make you serve customers well....that’s because great service is a choice.Harvey Mackay, tells a wonderful story about a cab driver that proved this point. He was waiting in line for a ride at the airport. When a cab pulled up, the first thing Harvey noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for Harvey. He handed my friend a laminated card and said: ‘I’m Wally, your driver. While I’m loading your bags in the trunk I’d like you to read my mission statement.’Taken aback, Harvey read the card. It said: Wally’s Mission Statement: To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheap-est way possible in a friendly environment....This blew Harvey away. Especially when he noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean! As he slid behind the wheel, Wally said, ‘Would you like a cup of coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.’ My friend said jokingly, ‘No, I’d prefer a soft drink.’ Wally smiled and said, ‘No problem. I have a cooler up front with regular and Diet Coke, water and orange juice...’Almost stuttering, Harvey said, ‘I’ll take a Diet Coke.’ Handing him his drink, Wally said, ‘If you’d like something to read, I have The Wall Street Journal, Time, Sports Illustrated and USA Today..’ As they were pulling away, Wally handed my friend another laminated card, ‘These are the stations I get and the music they play, if you’d like to listen to the radio.’And as if that weren’t enough, Wally told Harvey that he had the air conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for him. Then he advised Harvey of the best route to his destination for that time of day..He also let him know that he’d be happy to chat and tell him about some of the sights or, if Harvey preferred, to leave him with his own thoughts...‘Tell me, Wally,’ my amazed friend asked the driver, ‘have you always served customers like this?’Wally smiled into the rear view mirror. ‘No, not always. In fact, it’s only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent mostof my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I heard a personal growth guru, on the radio one day. He had just written a book called You’ll See It When You Believe It. Hesaid that if you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you’ll rarely disappoint yourself. He said, ‘Stop complaining! Differentiate yourself from your competition. Don’t be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.’‘That hit me right between the eyes,’ said Wally. ‘He was really talking about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy. So I decided to make some changes. I put in a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.’‘I take it that has paid off for you,’ Harvey said..‘It sure has,’ Wally replied. ‘My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income from the previous year. This year I’ll probably quadruple it. You were lucky to get me today. I don’t sit at cabstands anymore. My customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on my answering machine. If I can’t pick them up myself, I get a reliable cabbie friend to do it and I take a piece of the action.’Wally was phenomenal. He was running a limo service out of a Yellow Cab..I’ve probably told that story to more than fifty cab drivers over the years, and only two took the idea and ran with it. Whenever I go to their cities, I give them a call.. The rest of the drivers quacked like ducks and told me all the reasons they couldn’t do any of what I was suggesting.Wally the Cab Driver made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking like ducks and start soaring like eagles. How about us? Smile, and the whole world smiles with you.... The ball is in our hands!A man reaps what he sows. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up... let us do good to all people.Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar.Have a nice day, unless you already have other plans.

Grandma
If I were granted any wish,I'll tell you what I'd do,...
I'd wish my kids were small again, for just a month or two.
To hear their squeals of laughter,to watch them while they play.
And when they ask me to join in,I'd NOT say "Not today."
To hug again their chubby frame,to kiss away their tears,
and cherish childhood innocencethat's washed away the years.
Then when it's story time again,I'd stay a little longer,
to answer questions, sing the songs,so memories would be stronger.
But time is callous, wishes, myth, yet God in all his wisdom,
has given me another chancebefore I join his kingdom.
The face may not be just the same, the name is changed, 'tis true, but yet the smile that radiates,
reminds me so of you.
God must have known that Grandmawould need a chance or two.For many little happy things
she hadn't time to do.
So God gave love to Grandmasto equal that before,
that, in effect embracesthose little lives she bore.

You Ought To Be Ashamed Of Yourself!======================
“You ought to be ashamed of yourself!”
It’s what “they” told you.
For some of you, they told you that years ago and it has remained as a
burning indictment seared across your soul and spirit.
You feel ashamed.Ashamed for something that happened
in the past that God has forgiven and forgotten.
It is time that you realize that youare no longer that person. It’s time
to realize that you should no longer be ashamed.
It’s time to let it go and raise your head.
It’s time.
Now
Most Gracious Heavenly Father,
We thank You for our mothers to whom You have entrusted the care of every precious human life from its very beginning in the womb.
You have given to woman the capacity of participating with You in the creation of new life. Grant that every woman may come to understand the full meaning of that blessing, which gives her an unlimited capacity for selfless love for every child she may be privileged to bear, and
for all Your children.
Watch over every mother who is with child, strengthen her faith in Your fatherly care and love for her and for her unborn baby. Give her
courage in times of fear or pain, understanding in times of uncertainty and doubt, and hope in times of trouble. Grant her joy in the birth of
her child.
To mothers You have given the great privilege and responsibility of being a child’s first teacher and spiritual guide. Grant that all
mothers may worthily foster the faith of their children, following the example of Mary, Elizabeth, and other holy women who follow Christ.
Help mothers to grow daily in knowledge and understanding of Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and grant them the wisdom to impart this
knowledge faithfully to their children, and to all who depend upon them.
Assist all “spiritual mothers”, those who, though they may have no children of their own, nevertheless selflessly care for the children of others -- of every age and state in life. Grant that they may know the joy of fulfilling this motherly calling of women, whether in teaching, nursing, religious life, or in other work which recognizes and fosters
the true dignity of every human being created in Your image and likeness.
We beseech You to send Your Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to all mothers who sorrow for children that have died, are ill or estranged from their families, or who are in trouble or danger of any kind. Help grieving mothers to rely on Your tender mercy and fatherly love for all your
children.
We ask your blessing on all those to whom You have entrusted motherhood. May Your Holy Spirit constantly inspire and strengthen
them. May they ever follow the example of Mary, mother of Our Lord, and imitate her fidelity, her humility, and her self-giving love. May all mothers receive Your Grace abundantly in this earthly life, and may
they look forward to eternal joy in Your presence in the life to come.
We ask this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.
AMEN.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth
shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Thank God for Little Children
Thank God for little children,Bright flowers by earth's wayside,
The dancing, joyous lifeboatsUpon life's stormy tide.
Thank God for little children; When our skies are cold and gray,
They come as sunshine to our hearts,And charm our cares away.
I almost think the angels,Who tend life's garden fair,
Drop down the sweet wild blossomsThat bloom around us here.
It seems a breath of heavenRound many a cradle lies,
And every little babyBrings a message from the skies.
Dear mothers, guard these jewels. As sacred offerings meet,
A wealth of household treasuresTo lay at Jesus' feet.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God

Two Hero-Stories of the Civil War I. Bravery Honored By a Foe
In a rifle-pit, on the brow of a hill near Fredericksburg, were a number of Confederate soldiers who had exhausted their ammunition in the vain attempt to check the advancing column of Hooker's finely equipped and disciplined army which was crossing the river. To the relief of these few came the brigade in double-quick time. But no sooner were the soldiers intrenched than the firing on the opposite side of the river became terrific.A heavy mist obscured the scene. The Federal soldiers poured a merciless fire into the trenches. Soon many Confederates fell, and the agonized cries of the wounded who lay there calling for water, smote the hearts of their helpless comrades."Water! Water!" But there was none to give, the canteens were-empty."Boys," exclaimed Nathan Cunningham, a lad of eighteen, the color-bearer for his regiment, "I can't stand this any more. They want water, and water they must have. So let me have a few canteens and I'll go for some."Carefully laying the colors, which he had borne on many a field, in a trench, he seized some canteens, and, leaping into the mist, was soon out of sight.Shortly after this the firing ceased for a while, and an order came for the men to fall back to the main line.As the Confederates were retreating they met Nathan Cunningham, his canteens full of water, hurrying to relieve the thirst of the wounded men in the trenches. He glanced over the passing column and saw that the faded flag, which he had carried so long, was not there. The men in their haste to obey orders HAD FORGOTTEN OR OVERLOOKED THE COLORS.Quickly the lad sped to the trenches, intent now not only on giving water to his comrades, but on rescuing the flag and so to save the honor of his regiment. His mission of mercy was soon accomplished. The wounded men drank freely. The lad then found and seized his colors, and turned to rejoin his regiment. Scarcely had he gone three paces when a company of Federal soldiers appeared ascending the hill."Halt and surrender," came the stern command, and a hundred rifles were leveled at the boy's breast."NEVER! while I hold the colors," was his firm reply. The morning sun, piercing with a lurid glare the dense mist, showed the lad proudly standing with his head thrown back and his flag grasped in his hand, while his unprotected breast was exposed to the fire of his foe.A moment's pause. Then the Federal officer gave his command:"Back with your pieces, men, don't shoot that brave boy."And Nathan Cunningham, with colors flying over his head, passed on and joined his regiment. His comrades in arms still tell with pride of his brave deed and of the generous act of a foe.
“Yes, sir,” said the sergeant - “but if you will let me go I am willing to try it.”The general reflected a minute, then answered: “Kirtland, I ought not to allow you to take this risk, but the spirit that moves you is so noble I cannot refuse. Go, and may God protect you!”In the face of almost certain death the sergeant climbed the wall, watched with anxiety by the soldiers of his army. Under the curious gaze of his foes, and exposed to their fire, he dropped to the ground and hastened on his errand of mercy. Unharmed, untouched, he reached the nearest sufferer. He knelt beside him, tenderly raised his drooping head, rested it gently on his breast, and poured the cooling life-giving water down the parched throat. This done he laid him carefully down, placed the soldier’s knapsack under his head, straightened his broken limbs, spread his coat over him, replaced the empty canteen with a full one, then turned to another sufferer.By this time his conduct was understood by friend and foe alike and the firing ceased on both sides. For an hour and a half did he pursue his noble mission, until he had relieved the wounded on all parts of the battlefield. Then he returned to his post uninjured.Surely such a noble deed is worthy of the admiration of men and angels.
“Don’t you know,” replied the general, “that you would get a bullet through you the moment you stepped over the wall?”
Ii. The Bravery Of Richard Kirtland
Richard Kirtland was a sergeant in the Second Regiment of South Carolina Volunteers. The day after the great battle of Fredericksburg, Kershaw’s brigade occupied the road at the foot of Marye’s Hill. One hundred and fifty yards in front of the road, on the other side of a stone wall, lay Sykes’s division of the United States Army. Between these troops and Kershaw’s command a skirmish fight was continued through the entire day. The ground between the lines was literally covered with dead and dying Federal soldiers. All day long the wounded were calling, “Water! water! water!”In the afternoon, Sergeant Kirtland, a Confederate soldier, went to the headquarters of General Kershaw, and said with deep emotion: “General, all through last night and to-day - I have been hearing those poor wounded Federal soldiers out there cry for water. Let me go and give them some.”

The History of ‘APRONS’
I don’t think our kids know what an apron is. The principal use of Grandma’s apron was to protect the dress underneath because she only had a few. It was also because it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and aprons used less material. But along with that, it served as a pot holder for removing hot pans from the oven. It was wonderful for drying children’s tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears. From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven. When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids.. And when the weather was cold grandma wrapped it around her arms. Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove. Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron. From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables. After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls. In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees. When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds. When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men folks knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner. It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that ‘old-time apron’ that served so many purposes.
REMEMBER: Grandma used to set her hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool. Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw. They would go crazy now trying to figure out how many germs were on that apron. I don’t think I ever caught anything from an apron - but love...

I give thanks to you dear soldier,Who stands so firm and braveWhile dealing with the fearsYou may meet an early grave.
This war was not your choosingAnd yet you give your all
To protect our beloved freedomLest we should bow and fall
You stand and fight with all your mightFor friends and family left at homeYou make us proud, we’ll tell you so
When you come marching home.
You fight to free a peopledowntrodden and opressed
By a cruel and wicked vultureWho puts you to the test.
You fight with fiercest prideAt who you are and what you do.Though sleep deprived and weary
You give of yourself anew.
Your resolve has never falteredThough often faced with fear of deathYour fellow soldiers count you faithful
Though it be with your last breath.
I could not be more proudWere you my daughter or my son
For you stand among the very bestWho fight ‘til the battle’s won.
We pray for you dear soldierThat you return to this home shore,That God will bring you safely home

God's Order
God's order may be observed in the hatching of eggs. For example :
-the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days; -those of the canary in 14 days;
-those of the barnyard hen in 21 days ; - The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
-those of the mallard in 35 days ; -The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!) The lives of each of you may be ordered by the Lord in a beautiful way for His glory, if you will only entrust
Him with your life. If you try to regulate your own life, it will only be a mess and a failure. Only the One Who made the brain and the heart can successfully guide them to a profitable end.
God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God ordered that this animal would have a huge body, and
for this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily. The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first. A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs
first. How wise the Lord is in all His works of creation! God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of fruit, vegetable, and grain seed sections and segments, as
well as in the number of seeds/grains. -Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind.
-Each orange has an even number of segments. -Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.
-Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains. -Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one,
so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number. -The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six to the minute in all kinds of weather.
All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks, and the Lord specified thirty fold, sixty fold, and a hun-dredfold - all even numbers.
God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day, so that Linnaeus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature,
he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed! Thus the Lord in His wonderful grace can arrange the life that is entrusted to His care in such a way that it
will carry out His purposes and plans, and will be fragrant with His presence. Only the God-planned safe life is successful. Only the life given over to the care of the Lord is fulfilled.
I HOPE YOU FIND THIS AS FASCINATING AS I DID.....WOW!!!! May God Bless You In Ways You Never Even Dreamed Today!
And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Genesis 3:20
