MARCH 3, 2019
WELCOME
Westminster Presbyterian Church is a covenant family of believers called by God to fulfill His purposes here in Laurel, and as a staging ground for worldwide kingdom growth where we seek to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ – to fill the earth with disciples, subdue it redemptively for God’s glory, and worship Him joyfully. We are being redeemed and equipped by the Spirit to build up one another until the Lord returns.

I Love You, Lord
RESPONSIVE CALL TO WORSHIP* Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts! - Psalm 148:1-2
HYMN OF PRAISE *
Praise the Lord! Ye Heavens, Adore Him
PRAISE THE LORD! YE HEAVENS, ADORE HIM
RESPONSIVE PROFESSION OF OUR CHURCH’S FAITH* God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; He utters His voice, the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come, behold the works of the LORD, how He has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN
Almighty God, merciful Father, every time we rebel against Your just rule in our liveswe enslave ourselves to the tyranny of guilt and sin.We exchange freedom for bondage and health for sickness of soul. We are left miserable. Forgive us, we pray.We have not lived out the new reality of life in Christ. We have not understood the power of the gospelthat brings forgiveness and transformation. We pray that You enlighten our minds, soften our hearts, and strengthen our willsso the power of Christ’s resurrection will make us new people, enslaved to nothing but the glorious freedom of Christ. It is in His mighty name we pray.
(Hear now our silent and individual prayers of confession)
ASSURANCE OF PARDON AND THE LORD’S PRAYEROur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. AMEN.
