What an exciting time to be a Kansas Jayhawk. Our student-
athletes, coaches, staff and I greatly appreciate your dedication
and on-going support. We could not reach our success in the
classroom, on the field of play or have the opportunity to take the
Gold overseas without you.
With your support, we are not only providing our student-athletes
with a world-class education and state-of-the-art facilities for
competition, we are showcasing what Kansas has to offer to our
collegiate competitors as well as visitors and fans from across the
country.
We are excited this year will bring the “Rules of Basket Ball” home
to KU – as there is no place more fitting to house this legacy. This
would not be possible without the support of our generous donors.
Together, we continue to make great things happen that will impact
generations of Jayhawks for years to come.

OUR MISSION
The Williams Education Fund generates financial support for all University
of Kansas student-athletes with a responsibility to facilitate, promote, and
enhance academic and athletic experiences.
OUR HISTORY
The Williams Education Fund was originally founded as the Outland Club by
Dick, Skipper and Odd Williams in 1949. In 1973, the Outland Club became
known as the Williams Education Fund to honor the Williams family for its
commitment to Kansas Athletics.
2016 WILLIAMS FUND GOALS NEW
In 2016, the Williams Education Fund has established a goal of raising $19.5
million in support of 500+ student-athletes through the WEF Unrestricted
and Scholarship funds. In order to reach this goal, it will take the support of
Jayhawks from around the world as we strive to build the Williams Fund to

QUEST FOR
8,000 THE WILLIAMS FUND IS ON A QUEST TO REACH 8,000
MEMBERS. In order to achieve this goal, it will take the
support of Jayhawks from around the world. In 2015, we
had nearly 6,300 members representing 47 states, which
ranks near the bottom compared to our rivals in the Big 12
Conference.
There is strength in numbers. By building the Williams
Fund to 8,000 members, we will provide our current and
future Jayhawk student-athletes with increased scholarship
opportunities and the resources necessary to be champions
on-and-off the field of play.
No matter where you chant “Rock Chalk”, you can help us
build upon the success we have come to know and love
as Jayhawks. By referring a fellow Jayhawk to join the
Williams Fund, you will put us one step closer to reaching
our goal of 8,000 members. In addition, you will receive a
one-time priority point bonus. Invest in the future of Kansas
Athletics by referring a new member to the Williams Fund.
Memberships begin for as little as $100 a year!

WILLIAMS EDUCATION FUND 2016 MEMBERSHIP BROCHURE20
I would like to extend a big thank you to the
Williams Fund members who helped and supported
me throughout my journey here at the University of
Kansas. Becoming a Jayhawk is the best decision
I have ever made. With the amazing support of the
KU community behind me, it made my experience in
Lawrence one to remember.
As a student-athlete, I was able to represent the
Jayhawks across the country. Competing in meets
from New York to Oregon was the experience of a
lifetime.
Thanks to my coaches, teammates and the
academic staff, I was able to reach the highest
levels of track and field. During my career, I won four
consecutive Big 12 Championships in the 400-meter
hurdles, and I finished my career by capturing the
NCAA Championship at historic Hayward Field. My
experience as a Jayhawk will always have a special
place in my heart.
Since graduating from KU, I have stayed in
Lawrence to train as I live my dream of competing
around the world as a professional runner.
Once again, thank you! Everything you have done
has enabled me to reach the highest level in the
sport of track and field. I’ll be a Jayhawk forever.
Rock Chalk!
Michael Stigler
NCAA, Big 12 Champion
