SOME EXAMPLES OF MAKE’s WORK:
THE BEAST
2006 World Championship Winner
Amsterdam
This BEAST was originally built in England in 2005 as a 8-day bike building challenge
that I sponsored and invited one of the most talented local English builders (Chunky) to
design, build and ride in 8 days. We spent the whole first day designing and 7 days
building until we had a roller. It was then our base for our finish that was later
completed in Barcelona, Spain in 2006 which you see now. There was no spare
expense , just the paint job alone was billed at over 2,500 euros with the custom Rick's
wheels from Germany valued over 2,000 euros. with over 150 hours of work in the
frame alone. All the work paid off as it later on went on to win the World Kustom Bike
Championship in 2006 competing amongst some of the most well known names in the
kustom bike world.
SCORPIA
2009 -
Amsterdam
The Scorpia,(3.5meter long and wider than our door) built in Barcelona 2009 in our tiny
30sq/m beach side workshop where we rented stretch dyno type bikes to tourists. The
rear half of the trike was the base of a previous build (drag bike 2004). Is was then
extended to include two front wheels. The steering was an experimental remote steer
cable system that used air pistons in the handlebars to control the bike, with a push and
pull... The paintjob was a mixture of transparent colors and trick air brushing that was
only visible under light and flash, like scorpians which illuminate under black light.
Another interesting feature included a live scorpian cage located under the seat. 2
Scorpians traveled with us all the way to Amsterdam and were involved in a couple of
50km cruises.
MOLLY
2007
THE BBQ BIKE
Molly, born from our lifestyle love for bbq's on the beaches of BCN. The grill was built
right into the trike base and only needed us to remove the wheels and make a hole in
the sand. Also, it was our cargo bike and carried all our party supplies. Molly was
probably our most ridden/used bike in the shop. Everyone has a story with Molly, haha...
MOJITO BAR BIKE
2009
BARCELONA
The Mojito Bar trike,
BEER BAR Bike
Barcelona 2010
(aka Bar-beer-a, pronounced Barbara) . This Trike was built in Collaboration
with Metal & Ink in " in 2009. It functioned as a portable beer stand. It could
carry 100 litters of beer . It was rarely used as an actual beer stand but more
of a portable bar where most people just perched up on our bar. It came with
a full sound system and was also possible to serve other riders while moving,
(though not recommended).
DIABLO side car project
2010 Barcelona
Diablo, side-car project, was built to carry our lazy-ass dog.
WILDEST NEW PROJECT.... 7 WHEEL TRIKE, Amsterdam, Holland 2011
The BM-7 project, was a wild collaboration project with Rhalf Van Heudsen of the
Chopperdome as a special DOME Project in 2012. The base is a modified Basman frame,
shortened and welded to an experimental rear differential unit. It contained 7 wheels in total.
It was an experiment of the kustom wheel possibilities. It is still unfinished, though, initial
results have proved promising.
Kustom Cycle and other kustom
projects :
36" stretch cruise next to customized 26" PG low glide
VANISHED .... Polycarbonate project with single tube design frame. Internal steering unit and custom machined single sided hubs with machined bolt cover.
