The companyBio & mission
The project BREED was founded by two entrepreneurs from the world of fashion, Frédérique Sarrazin & Ariane Michaud.
They therefore joined their knowledge and passion to build BREED. Started in june, Incorporated in September 2012.

Frederique S.tricot design.
They want to build a reliable and honest company in constant synergy with the current global trends and design to offer a perspective not only aesthetically pleasing
but practical.
Ariane Michaud is a designer, technician andgraphic designer. She finished her degree in fashion design at Marie-Victorin, specializing in menswear. It ends in 2007 and she worked as a designer for a Montreal company while contracting work in fashion as a technician and illustrator.
They want the ability to expand their product line by working in collaboration. Go out of the confort zone with different artist and designer while pushing forward the recogni-tion of Montreal designers.

Product lineProcess & details
“All of our products are made from merino wool and no syn-thetic fibers are used. ’’ - Frédérique The yarn is imported from Italy from upscale mills. When in montreal, BREED create all of the textile design in-house on research machines. Once the knits are decided, it’s then passed on to the manufacture’s programmer who will recreate the textures on industrial machines in a panel form. Those panels are then cutted & sewn in the studio.
Several colors are available in different styles & basic cuts particularly enjoyed by our clients, returns from season to season. The price range is 230,00$ to 775,00$ for cloth-ing & 35.00$ to 175,00$ for accessories.**
BREED offers 4 different lines , confort, clas-sics, underlayers & collaborations. Confort contains all of the heavier pieces. Classics are repeats from previous seasons. Underlayer are made with a fine merino wool knit for everyday wear, basics and under garments. Finally, collaborations are eclectic & depends on the partner, manufacturer or designer that the company works with & their own
specializations. ** INCOTERM EXW or FOB. (Ex-works or Free on board) From workshop or at shipper. WHOLESALE

Season themeInspiration & Colors
Inspired by wear, by nostalgic tradition and a deep desire to temper the pace of the modern world by a return to the basics.
The faded colors of rocks, old pictures and signs with peeling paint guides our season palet. The idea of a garment, torn out, stained, used and made to last create the knitted textures. While embracing the traditional male costumes and uniforms, the designers adapted and ajusted it to our current needs without wanting to revolu-tionize it. The collection keeps an aesthetic in line with international trends but as an implied reference to an important period in
social history.
