BERU LAUNCHES ‘LEGENDARY’ PAN-EUROPEAN WINTER GLOW PLUG CAMPAIGN WITH A CLASSIC CAR INCENTIVE
For the upcoming winter season, BERU will launch its ‘Enter the Legend’ advertising campaign to promote the seasonal sales of its leading range of glow plugs. The campaign will be run in partnership with key BERU distributors in different European countries.
The campaign will refer to the history of the legendary BERU brand, which was founded by Julius BEhr and Albert RUprecht, and which registered its first patent for spark plugs in 1912. In 1929, BERU used its expertise to launch its own range of glow plugs, which made a decisive contribution to the success of diesel engines. Ever since it launched its first glow plugs, BERU has been renowned for its innovations in ignition and cold start diesel technology. Today, it continues that legendary tradition using its spirit of invention and innovation to remain at the leading edge.
During the winter, the 'Enter the Legend' campaign will feature local classic car prizes in participating countries. The ultimate prize will be a VIP weekend for two people at the legendary Mille Miglia rally in Italy in 2015. This event is one of the premier events in the classic car calendar. It retraces the route of the original Mille Miglia race in a circuit through Italy, starting and finishing in Brescia. Like BERU glow plugs themselves, this prestigious prize reflects the combination of knowledge, quality and a passion for cars.

RIDING WITH RAINER CAPE TO CAPEOn September 21st 2014, Rainer Zietlow will set off on the ‘Touareg Cape to Cape’,
a 17,000 km drive from Nordkapp in Norway (the northernmost point in Europe) to
Cape Agulhas in South Africa (the southernmost point in Africa). His aim is to shatter
the current 28 day record by completing the trip to Cape Agulhas in just 10 days.
And Federal-Mogul Motorparts will be with him all the way. His VW Touareg uses Champion
windscreen wipers (part number DXL65C/B01) and Ferodo front brake pads (part numbers FDB1877
