Hang on Pals!
I am flying into “The Windy Month” (March) on the #p of my tail and with all four
hooves outstretched above ground! I don’t mind the wind but this ridiculous. I
just flew over the barnyard mud pile, saw my big pal Mr. Winston. J must remem-
ber to send him a card to say hello and remind him that March 1 is Na#onal Pig Day,
Some#mes just a li$le note can really brighten up someone’s day. Looks like my
landing will be close to the flower garden at the Leicester Senior Center. I may mo-
sey in and check out the ac#vi#es and see if a St. Pat’s Day celebra#on is being
planned.
If you’re si%ng at home worrying about stuff– keep calm and then on March 9th we
can celebrate Na#onal Panic Day together.
Spring will be here on March 20 so think some happy thoughts. The gemstone this
month is the aquamarine—means water of the sea and symbolizes peace, a sooth-
ing nature, friendliness, and crea#vity. The birth flower is the daffodil—stands for
new beginnings and a new blossoming. Plants and flowers blossom in a variety of
colors, one being a beau#ful green that reminds us of St. Patrick’s Day on March
17th. Be sure to wear a patch of green and celebrate with us at the Leicester Senior
Center.
Ever feel like your mind is sieve. Well— your brain is 70% water. To plug up a few
holes in that sieve think about dropping in at the “Train Your Brain” session on
Wednesdays at 9:00 AM . There a lot of laughs and no pressure.
Always remember there are many “sides” to an individual like a beau#ful flower
Each person must be provided with enrichment and allowed to flourish as an indi-
vidual. We all blossom at different stages and must be accepted as such.
Let us hope that for the month of March we can hang onto each other during the
windy days and help each other to flourish and to enjoy the arrival of Spring.
Remember the old adage— When March comes in like a lion—it goes out like lamb.

BOOK CLUB On March 26,
2018 at 1:00 p.m. members of
the Book Club will meet at
the Leicester Senior Center to
discuss “The American Heir-
ess” by Daisy Goodwin. Be
careful what you wish for.
Traveling abroad with her
mother at the turn of the twen-
tieth century to seek a titled
husband, beautiful, vivacious
Cora Cash, suddenly finds herself Duchess of
Wareham, married to Ivo, the most eligible bach-
elor in England. Nothing is quite as it seems,
however: Ivo is withdrawn and secretive, and the
English social scene is full of traps and betrayals.
Money, Cora soon learns, cannot buy everything,
as she must decide what is truly worth the price
in her life and her marriage.
