What is Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC)?

• Learning in any environment (including buildings or open spaces) outside the four classroom walls

 • Involves real-world experiences and authentic

language  • Can create memorable experiences

• Can enhance classroom learning – either as preparation or follow-up activities
