Districts that attend are eligible to participate in the BOCES CoSer for professional

development for up to 18 months following the conference.

Food Trucks and area restaurants will offer a variety of lunch options for participants.

Presenter Information: Dr.JeanneTribuzziworkswithschoolsbothnationallyandinternationallytohelpthemarticulateandaligntheirliteracycurriculum.JeannehasheldpositionsasDistrictAdministratoratGlobalConceptsCharterSchoolandDirectorofEnglishLanguageArts,ESL,andSecondLanguagesintheWestSenecaCentralSchoolDistrictinNewYork.Overthepast28years,shehasbeenaprimaryteacher,amiddleschoolEnglishteacher,DirectorofStaffDevelopment,DirectorofEnglishLanguageArts,acurriculumwriter,andaconferencepresenter.ShecompletedherdoctoralworkattheUniversityofBuffalo.AmandaArenshasbeenaneducatorfor30years.Forthepast20,shehasbeenaliteracystaffdeveloperworkingwithschoolstowritecurriculum,aligninstructionwithstandards,andplananddeliverlessonsaswellasprofessionaldevelopment.TheworkisalwaysaroundliteracyandhasrangedfromWorkshop,toUnitsofStudy,toFourBlocks,tocomprehensionstrategiesandvocabulary.Amandahasco-authoredsevenbooksforteachersincludingMonthbyMonthPhonicsandVocabularyforFourthGradeandMonthbyMonthPhonicsandVocabularyforFifthGrade.Shecontinuestoworkwithdistrictsbothsmallandlargeandlovesworkingwithbothteachersandstudents.

JenniferTalaricoisaformerBuffaloPublicSchoolteacher,nowaProfessionalDevelopmentSpecialistatOrleans/NiagaraBOCES.JenniferisamemberoftheStatewideEarlyLearningGrouptogainandspreadknowledgeofqualitylearningexperiencesforyounglearners.Herinterestsandexperiencesincludetheroleofplayasaninstructionalstrategy,howtosupportchildren'sapproachestolearningthroughplay,learningmathematicsthroughstorytelling,andnature-basedandoutdoorlearning.MikeFisherisaformerteacherwhoisnowafull-timeauthorandinstructionalcoachinOrleans/NiagaraBOCES,helpingtosustaincurriculumupgrades,designcurriculum,andmodernizeinstructioninimmersivetechnology.Hehastaughtavarietyofgradelevelsandcontentareasovertheyears,primarilyinMiddleSchools.MichaelistheauthorofseveralbookspublishedbyASCD,mostrecentlyDitchtheDailyLessonPlan:HowdoIplanformeaningfulstudentlearning?HeisacontributingauthortotheSolutionTreeseriesContemporaryPerspectivesonLiteracyandhislatestbookisTheQuestforLearning:HowtoMaximizeStudentEngagement,alsopublishedbySolutionTree.FindMichaelonTwitterat(@fisher1000)

SteveMetzgerisaProfessionalDevelopmentSpecialistfortheCenterforSchoolImprovement&ProfessionalDevelopmentatOrleans/NiagaraBOCES.Inthisrole,Steveprovidesawiderangeofprofessionallearningwithafocusonearlyliteracy,readingandwritingacrossallcontentareasandliteracystrategiesforstudentswithdisabilities.SteveearnedhisdoctoratefromD’YouvilleCollegein2014witharesearchfocusonclosereadinginSocialStudies.PriortohisworkatOrleans/NiagaraBOCES,StevewasaspecialeducationteacherintheOrchardParkCentralSchoolDistrictandiscurrentlyanadjunctinstructorfortheGraduateSchoolofEducationatSt.BonaventureUniversity.AntoinetteDiBelloniaisaReadingRecoveryTeacherLeaderandInstructionalSpecialistinEarlyLiteracyandEmergentReadingandWriting.ShesupportsteachersthroughReadingRecoveryTrainingandmodelingbestpracticesintargetedliteracyinterventionsanddiagnosticassessments.Shehasservedinavarietyofrolesincludingteacher,instructionalcoach,assessmentcoordinator,andliteracycoach.Sample topics for sessions at our conference include: Reader's and Writer's workshop, K-2 Phonics (including using the Units of Study), Engaging students with Multimedia and Poetry, etc. We will also have some Early Literacy Learning sessions as well as a session on Mindfulness.
