DECODE GLOBAL (2013) specializes in mobile games forsocial impact. It develops games for the North American andIndian markets. Its first game Get Water! was launched thisspring and won the United Nations UNAOC competition.

HEARING EXPRESS (2012) delivers affordable, high-qualityhearing aids in developing countries. By using rapid-fittinghearing aids, mobile diagnostics, and an entrepreneurialdistribution system, it is a sustainable and scalable way ofaddressing hearing loss on a global scale.

Aspire (the name of the McGill team's social enterprise) aims to empower urban slum communities by offeringthem better access to an efficient, sustainable source of protein and nutrients. The Hult Prize – considered the Nobelof social entrepreneurship – was presented by former President Bill Clinton on September 23 in New York City.

Hosted by the Desautels Faculty of Management, the Dobson Cup is McGill’s flagship business plan competition that enablesbudding entrepreneurs to compete for start-up capital for their enterprise. To date, over 270 teams have pitched business ideasto successful serial entrepreneurs in an iterative competitive format. To meet growing demand, the Social Enterprise track wasintroduced in 2011 with the support of the SEI. SANITRU (2013) is dedicated to reducing the incidence ofdeath caused by “wrong drug” errors. Their soon-to-bepatented bottle caps allow health care practitioners toaccurately (and efficiently) identify pharmaceutical packagingby both sight and touch.

STREETSUDS (2011) assists marginalized and formerlyhomeless individuals in Montreal by providing a laundry servicethat picks up, washes, dries, folds and delivers linens andtowels to businesses and community organizations in the city.
