The Life of a Frog
Frogs change as they grow. A frog
starts life as an egg in a pond. A
tadpole hatches from the egg. Its tail
helps it swim. It has gills like a fish.
In time, it grows legs and its tail gets
smaller. It starts to use lungs, too. Then
it lives on land most of the time.

The Classroom Pet
by Grace Maccarone
This book is about a boy named Sam. It
is Sam’s turn to take the class pet home for
the weekend. The class pet is a hermit crab.
Something scary happens to the hermit crab over
the weekend. You will have to read to find out
what happened. I really liked this book because
it was exciting. I couldn’t stop reading! I couldn’t
wait to find out what happened to the class pet.
You may be surprised!
