July Luncheon
Has America’s Charitable Giving Climbed out of its Great Recession-fueled Trough?
Which sources of giving (individuals, bequests, corporations, foundations) experienced the strongest growth? Which sectors experienced the greatest changes in giving - up or down? How do these national trends play out locally? Do they matter?
Leo Arnoult, a former chair and current board member of the Giving USA Foundation, publishers of the comprehensive annual report on national giving trends, and organizer of the first local report Giving Memphis will share his thoughts about the meaning of this information relative to our fundraising efforts now and going forward. Leo is President of Arnoult & Associates, Inc. which is celebrating its 25th anniversary providing strategic planning and fundraising consulting.

Online Success Strategies, Tools and Trade Secrets
Over the past decade nonprofit organizations have been inundated with Internet services and technology options. This
session taught by Ted Hart, one of the world’s foremost experts on Nonprofits and the Internet, will focus your organization on how it can integrate offline fundraising with online strategies. While nonprofit organizations continue to embrace the use of the Internet for a variety of purposes, the challenge most
organizations face is how they can build upon their traditional direct mail, special event and other activities while not being an
Internet expert themselves. Mr. Hart will help you begin your efforts or enhance what you have already started.
In this session:• How to reach the “new breed” of online givers• How to build community through online social networks• How to stay ahead of the curve
Presenter: Ted Hart, ACFRE and expert in both online and traditional fundraising.
Location: U of M Alumni CenterFree to AFP Members; $10 for Non-Members
