COURSE CANCELLATION POLICYIn the case of cancellation, the course fee minus a £5admin fee will only be refunded when the participant gives10 days advance notice.

Leicester Print Workshop reserves the right to cancelunsubscribed courses and endeavours to provide 10 daysadvance notice when this is the case, a full refund will bemade in these circumstances.

ACCESSGetting to our studio is easy. We are about 10 minutes’walk from the train station and 15 minutes from StMargaret’s Bus Station. From July 2016 we will have a bikeshed for visitors. If you are coming by car, there is pay anddisplay parking on the street and an NCP carpark close by.LPW will be improving its outdoor space during 2016 andwill be creating a space for disabled parking.

Leicester Print Workshop’s new building is on the groundfloor and is wheelchair accessible. If you plan to visit andhave any special requirements or needs you’d like us to beaware of please contact us to talk them through.

Another opportunity to see this stunningcollection of prints by esteemed 20thcentury printmaker, Evelyn Gibbs.

Meta4 are a diverse group of printmakers andartists who actively collaborate, share ideas, inspireand creatively challenge each other. Formed bychance after attending a printmaking course atLPW in 2014, this exhibition is the group’s first,working on the theme of Alchemy.

Alchemy: a form of chemistry and speculativephilosophy practiced in the Middle Ages and theRenaissance and concerned principally withdiscovering methods for transmuting baser metals intogold and finding a universal solvent and elixir of life.

ROY BIZLEY (1930 –1999) WAS AN ARTIST WORKING IN PAINTING AND PRINTMAKINGAND HAS WORK IN COLLECTIONS THROUGHOUT THE UK AND AUSTRALIA.

DISPLAYED ACROSS THREE VENUES, THELEICESTER PRINT WORKSHOP BIENNIALMEMBERS’ SHOW, P2P 2016, WILL ONCEAGAIN SHOWCASE NEW WORK MADE BYLPW ARTISTS.

Work will be installed at LCB Depot Print Roomand Café, LPW Exhibition Space and PhoenixCafé for the exhibition period, with anadditional exhibition at LCB's Lightbox from 01November to 03 December.

Based in Leicester in the 1980s he was a member of Leicester Print Workshop in ourearly days. To celebrate our 30th birthday we are borrowing a series of Roy’s prints fromLeicester’s New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, depicting political figures of the day.

Leicester Print Workshop is the Midlands Centre for Fine ArtPrintmaking and houses a fully equipped studio. We run amembership scheme for artists and associates, anyone canapply to join as a member.

Becoming a member of Leicester Print Workshop meansjoining our friendly community. The membership fee helpsto ensure that our facilities can be maintained and availablefor use during our open access hours.

Full Print Members can use the LPW Studio to make theirwork with unlimited access during our opening hours for£65 a month. Drop in, pay as you go use of the Studio is£3.60 an hour.

Membership is open to anyone who is comfortable workingindependently in the studio. You might have plenty ofprintmaking experience or you might have been on a LPWcourse or two. Prior to using the workshop, all new membersattend an induction. This is a three hour supervised sessionwhere you can familiarise yourself with the studio andreceive a health and safety briefing, at the same time ourStudio Team will ensure you have the information you needto work independently and sometimes at this stage theteam might suggest a little more learning or a one to onesession just to top up your knowledge. There is a charge of£40 for the induction.

If you would like to join but are not wholly confident thatyou can work alone in the studio we recommend that youattend a course, alternatively you are welcome to arrangebespoke one to one classes to suit your particular interestor level of study.
