Welcome to the 2015 edition of the Midwest Made Sale! We along with the JS Simmentals crew are excited to invite you back to the Hansen Center for this event. This is a great group of Iowa Simmental breeders who are putting together cattle that have a great place in our breed. They are sound, functional, and packed with performance and pedigree. There is a great group of open and bred females for you to take a look at, and find something to take back to your operation. The cow families that you will find throughout this catalog are the foundation of the JS program. It is refreshing to see different consignors purchase genetics from the JS program have success, and be able to come back and offer genetics from their purchases.

The JS crew have been long time Simmental breeders, but it is always a great testament to what you are trying to achieve when you breed one that goes out and receives a purple banner. Though Bloomberg’s champion female wasn’t purchased out of the Midwest Made sale; you still have the opportunity to purchase genetics that come from the same pedigree. We congratulate both the Bloomberg family and JS Simmentals the success of JS Black Satin.

No matter what the weather might be outside, the hospitality in the Hansen Center is always warm and welcoming. It is a high quality facility, and Claudia Steenhoek is queen of the welcome committee. This is a female that we purchased from Thayer’s off the Field of Dreams for our son to show and what a show career she had. This female showed well as a heifer and did even better as a cow.
