Introduction

importance of the research, and state the objectives of your work.

Materials and Methods

*NOTE* JFS Concise Reviews, JFSE, and CRFSFS papers do not have to follow the “Materials and Methods” and

“Results and Discussion” structured format.

Provide sufficient detail so work can be repeated. Use subheads for clarity. Avoid use of trade

names. Define abbreviations and acronyms.

Conduct statistical analysis only if variation with a treatment (standard deviation divided by the

means) is greater than 10% and difference among treatment means is less than 3 standard

deviations.

Be careful not to commit self-plagiarism by using exact wording from a previous publication.

Results and Discussion

Present and discuss results concisely, using figures and tables as needed (but not the same

information in both figures and tables). Compare results to those previously reported, and

indicate what new information is contributed herein. Place figures and tables at the end of the

document, after references.
