Service of Prayer for Unity. The Regina Council of Churches invites you to join
in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, on Sunday, Jan 21 at 3pm at First
Presbyterian Church, 2170 Albert Street, Regina. The biblical theme for the Week is
"Your right hand, O LORD, glorious in power" (Exodus 15:6). Selected by the
churches of the Caribbean, this theme will be used throughout the world. In Canada,
as we reflect on the biblical witness of God's liberating power, we are called to action
for reconciliation between our churches and within
society, most particularly between Indigenous and other Canadians. Our preacher will be Dr. Michael Capello
(U of Regina). Coffee, tea, and educational displays will follow the service. All are welcome.
REGINA PRO-LIFE: is sponsoring the Green Ribbon Campaign to remember our preborn brothers and
sisters who were denied life. We specifically ask that you pray for the preborn and for women seeking
abortion. Each year, approximately 2,000 abortions are performed in Saskatchewan hospitals. Please wear
a green ribbon to remember those lost to abortion.
Dear Parishioner; Regina Catholic Schools are working with all Catholic
schools in Saskatchewan to preserve the gift of publicly funded Catholic
education for all who want it. More details can be at
https://www/catholicedspirit.ca/. The goals of our efforts are not simply to
raise funds, but above all tp raise awareness of and support for Catholic
education in Saskatchewan. We are one of only three provinces where
Catholic education is fully funded, and we need to work together to ensure
that our schools survive and thrive despite the cultural and legal challenges that we are currently facing.
Thank you for making this a priority.
Grace and peace in the Lord Jesus
