Background for the concept of Leavefor Change
Originally the concept came from "Congé Solidaire“, anNGO in France and it involved an employer’s sponsorshipfor its employee doing a "Congé Solidaire" assignment.
After a few years, the name of the organization changed toPlanète Urgence and made overseas assignments availablein development work and environmental research to
individuals, willing to pay the cost of their assignment, withor without the sponsorship of an employer.
