Giving the Bread and Cup—You are invited to come forward and receive
communion by “intinction”. You will receive a piece of bread which you will dip into the
cup. After you partake you may choose to pray at the altar rail. As United Methodists, we
celebrate “open communion”, meaning it is not necessary to belong to this congregation to
receive the sacrament. John Wesley believed the sacrament had “saving power”, and no
one should be denied. Children are always welcome. During communion please join with
others in singing the following hymns: UMH 337, 347, 359, 364.
(8:30) Closing Hymn UMH No. 206 “I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light”

… As United Methodists, we celebrate “open Communion”; everyone is always
welcome at the Lord’s Table.

… The restrooms are located to the right at entrance to Fellowship Hall and at the end
of the ramp and to the left.
