• 56%- Not satisfied with the current security and privacy settings
• 65% - Do not trust cloud services with their personal data
• 87% - Feel that they should be in-charge of what data is stored
with the websites
• 60% - Feel that it is not acceptable for applications to use their
personal data for any internal business or research purposes

Conclusion
• People are not very open to the idea of sharing
personal data —> core values of the IoT industry.
• Innovative solutions to provide users with sufficient
trust levels
• Trade off between “acquiring as much data as
possible” and “minimum viable data required”
