Retrieve Dialog

Features – Dialog has been improved to allow a user to search by name, status, number
of documents and the type of document. – Dialog is not auto-populated on load. User must initiate a search. – Previous search is auto-populated when dialog is opened again.

Partially Retrieved Document

Features – If a document is cancelled and is only partially retrieved, the status of the
document will be ‘Partial’. – Information column will tell the user all functionality will not be available, even
though the document can be opened in SPC.

Print Markups in Reports

Features – Markups will be printed with Model/Drawing
snapshots that are part of the package summary report.
– NOTE: They will only be printed in black and white.

Assembly details in viewers

Features – User will now be able to see assemblies related to a
component on the right click menu in viewers. – Selecting the assembly from the list will open a
dialog with all the components listed that are part of the assembly.
– User can then navigate to other drawings or view the properties of individual components.

ROP Config: Specify a List for Text Properties
The capability to specify a list of properties for string lookup values was added. For example, to supply a list of values for ~SPC_ComponentItem_Thickness, the format
should be: – {Property value | Property value}
The list can only be applied to one lookup value per row. Multiple values must be separated by the pipe ( | ) character, and be contained within braces({}); these values are treated as an OR value. For example, {XS | XXS} would match all lookup values with a thickness of XS or XXS.

Queuing Components for Rules of Progress by Rate Table
SmartPlant Construction can now queue all components affected by a particular rate table in the Rules of Progress spreadsheet on demand.

Filter Category Search

Features – Users can now search for filters in categories that
might have 1000’s of filters. – Search criteria is kept between user sessions and is
independent of model/drawing in configurations. – Allows users to quickly find items they are looking for
instead of scrolling through all items.

Schedule Import, mappings spreadsheet
Schedule Import—mappings spreadsheet determines how P6 data is imported into SmartPlant Construction (SPC). OOTB implementation—mirrors current functionality of Refresh schedule, i.e., moves WBS data from P6 into SPC
as Construction Work Packages (CWPs). Simple mapping—map P6 Entity/Attribute name to SPC Interface/property.
P6 UDF mapping—map P6 Entity/User-defined Field name to SPC Interface/property w/ special syntax.
Argument mapping—uses functions from (overridable) external service named ProjectDataMappingsService to
calculate values:

Export Schedule, Partial Progress (Work Package level)
Man hours recorded in SPC (including partially progressed components) exported/imported as Labor Units in P6.
Export crew as resource checkbox must be checked. When checked :
– Planned/Completed/Actual Man Hours exported – Exported Man Hours used to calculate all Labor Units in P6:
Planned Budgeted Actual Actual Planned – Complete Remaining Actual + Remaining At Complete
– Labor Units split evenly amongst resources assigned to P6 Activity (work package) – Labor Units/Crew Size determine the duration of the P6 Activity (work package) during Schedule

SmartPlant Construction now has the ability to forecast and reserve material item from SP Material based on the purpose of the work package. The Rule of progress defines which step for which purpose is consuming the material item.
