InserttheCD-ROMtitled“ActionReplayMAXforPSP”intoyourPCCD-ROMdriveandwaitacoupleofseconds(ifyouhaveauto-runenabled)fortheinstallationtostart.Ifyoudon’thaveauto-runenabledfindtheSETUP.EXEprogramontheCDandrunit.Followtheon-screeninstructions.

SincethePSPactsasastandardRemovableStorageDeviceinWindows®noadditionaldriverinstallationisrequired.

ConnecttheMINIUSBendoftheUSBcabletoyourPSPandtheotherendtoafreeUSBslotonyourPC.Windows®(andActionReplayMAX)willonlyrecognisethePSPonceithasbeenputinUSBMODE,todothischoose‘USBConnection’fromthe‘Settings’menuonyourPSP.

WhenusingActionReplayMAXensureyouhaveanactiveInternetconnectiononyourPCandthatyourPSPisconnectedtoyourPCviathesuppliedminiUSBtoUSBlead(ifyouwishtodownloaddirectlytoyourPSP).Seesection2.cforconnectioninfo.

DownloadingaPowersaveandusingitonyourPSPcouldn’tbesimpler.Havingmadesureyou’reonthePOWERSAVESsub-tabontheONLINEtabclickonthefirstletterofthenameofthegameyouwouldliketodownloadagamesavefortobeginsearching.

Whentheresultscomebackscrolldownthelisttofindthegameyouarelookingfor.Youshouldseeitsiconshownonthefolderimage.Clickanywhereonthegame’sentrytoretrievealistofgamesavesforthatgame.

Whenthelistappears,clickonthePowersaveyouwouldliketodownloadtohighlightit(oftentherewillbemorethanonepergame).

MyUploadsisyourwaytoview,edit,deleteanddownloadgamesavesthatyouhaveuploadedtotheserver.

Youwillonlyseeanycontentifyouhaveuploadedsavestothecommunity(seesection4.f,UploadingaSavetotheCommunity).

Ifyouhaveuploadedoneormoregamesavesyoucanusethissub-tabtokeepyourgamesavesup-to-date(forinstanceifyoukeepimprovingagamesave)ortoeditthesavenameordescriptiontomakethemmorehelpfultootherusers.

Youshouldalsotrytodeletegamesavesthatyouhavereplacedorthatyounolongerwishtolistinthecommunity.Thishelpstokeepthecontentfreshforotherusersandensurethatonlythebestsavesaresharedonline.

ThinkofyourPCDatabaseasbeingyourcentralstoreforallyourgamesaves.Whenyoudownloadcommunitygamesaves(seesection3.c.iii)orPowersaves(seesection3.b.iii)saveacopytoyourPCDatabasesoyoucanaccessthemanothertimewithoutevengoingonline.

ThenextstepistofindthesaveinyourPCDatabase(clickontothePCDATABASEtabontheviewtabs).Makesurethatyouhavefilledoutalltherelevantdetailsforyourgamesavesothatotheruserswillknowexactlywhatyourgamesaveincludes,whereitputsthemetc.Ifyouwanttomodifythedetailsdosonow(seesection4.cforinstructions).

Next,makesureyouhaveenteredyourCodejunkies.comusernameandpasswordintoActionReplayMAXontheoptionsscreen.IfyouhavenotalreadygotaCodejunkies.comusernameandpasswordgototheoptionsscreenandfollowthelinktotheCodejunkies.comregistrationpage.Registrationisquickandfreeandjustallowsustopreventspammingoftheserver.

Ifyouowngamesfromalloneregion,i.e.USAthenyouneedonlytosettheregiononce.Youwillsubsequentlyalwaysbeconnectedyourchosenserver.However,ifyouowngamesfromdifferentregions(forinstanceJapaneseimportgames)thenyoushouldchangetheregionsettingaccordinglydependinguponwhichgamesavesyouarelookingfor(oruploading).

ChoosingALLwillshowyougamesavesfromalltheregions.Ifyouselectthisoption,payattentiontotheregionofgamesavesyouintendtodownloadtoensuretheyareforthesameregionasthegameyouown.

FInd PSP & drIve letterOncertainPCconfigurationsitmaybenecessarytotellyourActionReplayMAXsoftwarewhichdriveletterthePSPison(forinstanceifyouhaveanotherUSBstoragedevicepresent).Ifthisisthecase,ticktheboxthatsays‘DONOTSEARCHFORTHEPSP’andthenchoosethedriveletterforthePSPinthedriveletterselector.

IfyouarenotsurewhichdriveletteryourPSPis,connectyourPSPtoyourPC(usingthesuppliedUSBlead)andenterUSBModeonthePSP.Open‘MyComputer’onyourPCandlookatthedriveslistedunder‘DeviceswithRemovableStorage’.Youshouldseesomethinglike“RemovableDrive(F)”.TheremaybemorethanoneremovabledrivesoexitUSBModeonyourPSPandthengobackin.YourPSP’sdriveletterwillbetheonethatdisappearsandreappearswhenyoudothis.

Youwillseeaprogressbar(atthebottomofthescreen)displaythestatusoftheupload.Oncecomplete,switchtotheMYUPLOADS(section3.d)toseeyourgamesaveliveontheserver.Youcanevenlookonthecommunity(section3.c)toseeyourgamesaveasotherswould.

5. SAvES ON YOuR PSP

a. Introduction and overview

WhenyouclickonthePSPtab-viewyouarelookingatthegamesavesyoucurrentlyhaveonyourPSP.Theinformationaboutthegamesavesislimitedtotheiconimage,theregion,thegameIDandthedateandsize.

Additionalinformationsuchassavetitlesanddescription(asseenontheOnlineandPCDatabasetabs)arenotcompatiblewiththePSPandassucharenolongervisible.

b. copying Saves to your Pc database

TotransfergamesavesfromyourPSPtoyourPCDatabasefirsthighlightthesaveorsavesyouwouldliketocopy.Youcanselectmultiplefilesbyusingyourkeyboards‘CTRL’keywhenyouclickyourmouseorbyclickingtheSELECTALLbuttonontheActionReplayMAXinterface.

OnceyouhavemadeyourselectionclicktheTOPCbuttonontheinterface.

Foreachgame-saveyouselectedyouwillthenbeaskedtocompletetheFILEDETAILSdialogue(asshowninError!Referencesourcenotfound.).Thisissothatyouwillbeabletoidentifyexactlywhatthesavedoesamidstyourgrowingcollection.OnceyouhavecompletedthesavedetailsdialogueforeachsaveyoucanswitchtoyourPCDatabaseviewwherethesaveswillbevisible.
