Usage Based Acquisition Model Library commits defined budget and time frame
Library has access to all available MyiLibrary titles fitting its profile
Profile can include subjects, publishers, pub dates, title price limit
MARC records are provided – tag to bulk load & remove
eBook titles are tagged for purchase upon 2nd hit by library user
Library is invoiced or deposit account debited monthly for tagged titles
At conclusion of program (when either the budget or time frame expires) non
purchased titles access is removed leaving library a collection of eBooks with
100% usage
New set of MARC records for owned titled will be provided
Library has valuable usage data to create ongoing eBook collection profile
