KSD Elementary School held its first Math Bee of the school year on October
20th. The Math Bee was divided into four competitions. All of the KSD Elementary
students, except the preschoolers and kindergarteners, participated. Five dollars in
cash and an award certificate were given to the winner from each one of the four
competitions. Light buzzers were utilized throughout all the competitions.
The winners from each one of the four competitions were Dakota Cox, Kalissa Pur-
vis, Apollo Tunstall, and Alyson Tucker. Congratulations to these four students for
their achievement.
KSD Elementary School’s second Math Bee will be held on January 12th at
10:15. The preschoolers and kindergarteners will be participating then. You are
welcome to come, watch, and cheer your child on! -Mr. Wilson

Learning about yeast today before firing up our new pizza oven! Students will be experimenting with recipes next week to devel-op our Colonel crust and custom sauce. We are eager for the basil in the Tower Gardens to grow big enough to harvest for use on our pizzas!

taking part in the national Home Fire
Campaign and with the generosity of the
WHAS Crusade for Children are in-
stalling smoke alarms and special
“shakers” for children who are deaf or
hard of hearing. If you are interested in
a FREE installation of a D/HH fire alarm
for you Deaf or Hard of Hearing child
