IMFOF (Local Institute for Training, Employment and Promotion) is a public entity depending on Palma de Mallorca City Council that works in order improve the local labour market by promoting training programmes, emergent economic sectors and giving support to enterprising people.
Das IMFOF ist eine autonome Körperschaft des Rathauses von Palma. Die Hauptziele des IMFOF sind die Förderung der Beschäftigung innerhalb Palmas (durch berufliche Beratungsdienste und Weiterbildung), die Anregung zur Gründung von Unternehmen sowie die Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung aller Produktivsektoren der lokalen Wirtschaft (Handel, Tourisimus, Nautik, etc.).
Who are we
IMFOF as a Local Development Agency
Facilitate the access to the job market easier for citizens, promote high-quality employment and give priority to the least favoured groups in society (young people, women and long-term unemployed). A further objective is to encourage the implementation of modern human resources' policies among the companies.
Improve the professional skills of unemployed as well as of employees living within the municipality of Palma by offering specific vocational training services adapted to each group of society and to the needs of the job market.
Development of the local economy via the implementation of policies designed to contribute to the creation of new companies and to consolidate the current business network.
Promote both the public institutional and private cooperation. Involve public administrations and the private sector in the coordination of activities to a higher degree, thereby achieving permanent financial support for economic and employment growth within our municipality.
