ESB Networks I-SEM Programme - General Update
We are continuing to work with the RAs, the I-SEM Project and the other Meter Data Providers through
the I-SEM Metering Working Group
We will be represented at the Market Trials Working Group which the I-SEM Programme is establishing.
At this time there is NO Change to our understanding which remains that
• No Changes are indicated to the Harmonised Retail Market Schema or the COBL
• D+1, D+4, M+4, M+13 Settlements will continue to operate on a Working Day basis for ESBN, with no
change to Frequency
• Need to concurrently operate the SEM and I-SEM until Re-Settlement of the SEM completes
• No Meter Data will be Price Effecting in the I-SEM and so I-SEM will not use the Price-Effecting
category
• I-SEM Market Trials will run Dec 2017 - May 2018
• The Go-Live date for the I-SEM is 23rd May 2018

ESB Networks I-SEM Programme – Price Effecting Units : Update
From the Last IGG on 03.05.2017:
Update 28.06.2017: On the 7 Supplier Units: 5 SUs have moved to become Price Effecting
in the SEM, a further SU is in the process of moving to Price Effecting and the
remaining SU move is pending.
Price Effecting Units
SEM-O have identified 7 Supplier Units that are currently Non-Price Effecting, and they have started work with MRSO
to move them to become Price Effecting in the SEM. This means that Eirgrid will become the MDP for them in the SEM.
Eirgrid and SEM-O have confirmed the Units that will move from Eirgrid being their MDP in the SEM to
MRSO becoming their MDP in the I-SEM. These are the current stats, at time of writing:
• 32 Distribution Connected GUs will become NPEG from PEG
• 12 SUs will become NPED from PED
The current List of Distribution Connected Price Effecting Generator MPRNs is available on the RMDS website Here
Please Note: this list is subject to change over time as new Units meet the criteria to become Price Effecting in the
wholesale market
We are continuing to work closely with Eirgrid and SEM-O on the cutover implications and the timeline for their moving
in the I-SEM.

MCR1187– Solution to Introduce Eircodes using A2 Correspondence Address
Three Market Change Requests were previously raised and approved to facilitate the
introduction of Eircodes into the Retail Market.• MCR1140 - Introduction of Eircodes into the Retail Market
• MCR0175 - New Reject Reason for Address Change Rejection
• MCR1169 - Addition of Postal Code to two downloadable meter point files.
In advance of the delivery of the MCRs Suppliers may wish to implement Eircodes.
ESBN are looking to see in advance of the delivery of the MCRs above they can
facilitate the population of the A2 Notification Address.
This change request has been raised to introduce Eircodes into the Retail Market
Solution through the use of the notification (Correspondence ) Address on the Market
Messages by Suppliers.
This DR was approved at the last IGG on the 3rd May 2017.
At Today’s Meeting: For Approval
28th June, 2017 30
MCR1175 (Re-versioned) – Provide MP Bus Ref
for Reading
When a 210MM is submitted the 300MM that is returned usually references the MP Bus
Ref as quoted in the 210 message. This MCR has been re-versioned and outlines in more
detail the circumstances where this does not occur.
If the 210MM is sent in the period between when a meter card is left at the premise for no
access and the estimate is created, the 300MM back to Supplier does not have the
Supplier Bus Ref included in it.
When a 210 read is sent during the read cycle and the read is validated the 300MM back
to the Supplier should always have the Suppliers Business Reference included in it.
At Today’s Meeting: For Approval as Re-Versioned MCR
28th June, 2017 31
DR1184 – Cooling Off for CoS(Status Update)
The customers’ right to the cooling off period is detailed in a EU Directive which was
transposed into Irish legislations.
Suppliers have submitted a number of comments and queries on this DR which were
addressed.
New version of DR will be circulated when CER have completed their review.
At Today’s Meeting: For Information - This DR is being reviewed
by CER and is currently on hold

2016 Customer Satisfaction Survey
2016 Action Report
Four items were identified for Action in 2016 from the 2015 Survey.
1 – New Protocol introduced for attendees on the IGG Conference Call.
2 - For 2016 more detail was added to the Actions..
3 - Investigate if the decision making process can be optimised in any way to become
more efficient and quicker. This wasn’t completed in 2017.
4 - Ensure all documentation from IGG Forum Contributors is provided to RMDS at least
1 week before the Forum Meeting.
- This was too ambitious a target set by RMDS and was unachievable apart from
DRs and MCRs.
- RMDS reverted to the original SLA target of 2 days set for it by the CER.
- Overall compliance achieved with the 2 day in advance SLA was 67%.
2017 Actions
Improve survey process to provide more meaningful results that will allow RMDS better
address the market feedback.
RMDS Manager to meet selection of MP’s face to face.
Assess the IGG preparation, execution and follow-up
The process of “Idea > DR > MCR > Scheduled for Release” needs to be review and
communicated to all participants
