Neon lights shine like a million stars in a city that never sleeps.
Tourists fill her pockets with money as she sparkles her wealth.
People rush to her like moths to a flame.
The city is a showgirl, she dazzles the crowds.
Fast, frenzied, frantic cars drive through the night.
Money, money, money!
Could you resist her charms?
Hungry slot machines cackle with delight.
Now it’s your turn!
• Work by yourself or in pairs to produce a picture poem about a place important to you.
