Piecing Instructions:Panel Border:Using (2) (B) 2 1/2” x 40 1/2” Panel Border strips, join to Top and Bottom of Panel Fabric. See Diagram 1.Press seams toward Border Strips. Your center will now mea-sure 40 1/2” x 36 1/2” if using a 40 1/2” x 32 1/2” center panel.

Piecing Continued:Majestic Moose Blocks:Half Square Triangles:Following Diagram 2, below, take one (C) Majestic Moose 2 7/8” square fabric and one (D) Majestic Moose2 7/8” square fabric. Place the (C) Majestic Moose 2 7/8” square right sides together with a (D) MajesticMoose 2 7/8” square. Draw a line diagonally from corner to corner. Stitch 1/4” on both sides of diagonalline. Cut squares on diagonal line to create two half square triangle blocks. Press seams toward Darkerfabric. Repeat using remaining (C) 2 7/8” and (D) 2 7/8” fabrics. Make (40) 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” Half SquareTriangle Blocks.

Majestic Moose Blocks:Following Diagram 3, below, join Half Square Triangle blocks made above, (D) Triangles and (E) Trianglesto create your Majestic Moose Blocks. Vary colors and placement in your blocks as desired.

Join blocks horizontally in rows, then join rows. When all rows have been joined, including top triangle, join(E) Large Accent Triangle. This is a long bias edge, handle gently to not stretch.

Borders:To determine the length of the inner side borders, measure quilt through the middle from top to bottom.Using (B) 2 1/2” Inner Border strips, cut to equal this measurement. Make (2). Attach border strips to sidesof quilt. Press seams toward inner border.To determine the length of the outer side borders, measure quilt through the middle from top to bottom.Using (F) 3” Outer Border strips, join to equal this measurement. Make (2). Attach border strips to sides ofquilt. Press seams toward outer border. Next, measure quilt through the middle from side to side to deter-mine the length of the top and bottom outer borders. Using remaining (F) 3” Outer Border strips, join toequal this measurement. Make (2). Attach to the top and bottom of quilt and press seams toward outerborder. Quilt will now measure 53.5” x 49.5” (if using a 32 1/2” x 40 1/2” center panel).Quilting:Sandwich quilt top with batting and backing. Baste layers together and quilt as desired to enhance design.Binding:Join together (G) 2 1/2” Binding strips and bind using your favorite method.
Following Border instructions, add side Inner Borders and Outer Borders.
