SeaQHybridDriveSystemconsistsofafrequencyconverter,electricmotor,andadieselengine.Theelectricmotorandthedieselengineareconnectedtogetherthroughagearbox.Thesystemallowsthechoicebetweenusingonlytheelectricmotor,thedieselengine,oracombinationofboth.TheSeaQHybridDriveSystemoffersgreatflexibilityaccordingtooperationalneeds.Itprovidesallthebenefitsofthediesel-electricandtheconventionalsystems,butwiththepossibilityofusingthedriveasa"boost"whenmorepowerisneeded.

TESTING

SeaQHybridDriveSystemisdesignedforhighreliabilityandavailabilityinharshenvironments,ensuringcontinuousandcost-effectiveoperationinallconditions.ItmeetsseveralmarineandoffshoreclassificationrequirementssuchasDNV,LRandABS.AdetailedFactoryAcceptanceTest(FAT)isexecuted.TheFATandsubsequentonboardcommissioning,whichincludesaHarbourAcceptanceTest(HAT)andaSeaTrialAcceptanceTest(SAT),areconductedalongwithclassificationsocietyandcustomerrepresentatives.FinaltestisFailureModeEffectAnalysis(FMEA),executedby3dpartytovalidatethepropulsionsystemredundancyandperformanceaccordingtoIMODP2andIMODP3classification.
