How to use your ACFB Student Webpage
This document is a basic guide that outlines how to use your interactive student webpage.
Through your webpage you will be able to do everything from downloading course material, view practical videos and class footage, interact in student forums, complete and submit assessments and much more.
To login to your student page from ACFB's website (www.acfb.com.au) click on the 'Student Login' menu option at the top right hand side of your screen.
Login
Then, simply enter your email address and password that was emailed to you and click 'Login'.
Make sure you reset your password to something you remember after you have logged on for the first time.
Homepage
This is the 'Homepage' of your Student Webpage.
It has a simply layout and is very straight forward.
Your menu options are located on the left hand side of your screen and some basic information in the middle.
Personal Details
You can edit your personal details in order to keep them up-to-date.
Policies and Procedures
Important documents like your student handbook, student clinic information, application to graduate, etc are located in the 'Policies and Procedures' menu option.
These documents are also located on your eLearning page under ‘General Documents’.
Documents
Documents specific to you will be located under the 'Documents' menu option.
If you are paying your course fees through an instalment plan, it will also be under this option.
Reset Password
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it here.
Please make sure you change your password after you have logged on for the first time.
eLearning
Your eLearning page will be the most used by students as it holds all of your course material and allows you to:
Complete your assessments Check your assessment due dates
Download course material Watch your practical videos
Watch class footage Get involved in student forums
See the latest ACFB news and events
eLearning Home Page
This is your eLearning Home Page
On the left and right side of your screen is a basic menu option that you can use to navigate to each page.
Your home page displays the courses you are enrolled in, any assessments that are due or need attention and any new posts to your student forum.
If this is your first time logging in, ACFB recommends that you update your profile using the ‘Edit Profile’ option on the left hand menu.

You will only need to change or update the details highlighted in RED.
Please leave all other settings.

You can also add a profile picture
If you are studying via distance learning, you need to add your ‘Skype ID’ in this section so you can participate in the group web sessions.
eLearning Course Home Page
Once you click on your course from the eLearning Home Page, you will be taking to your course page.
General Documents, your student forum and this document is located at the top of the page and your material is located in the center of the page as outlined on the following page.
Distance learning students will also have information regarding their Scheduled Web Sessions at the top of this page.
You can also interact and search through your student forum and see the latest ACFB news from the windows on the right hand side of your screen.
eLearning Course Home Page
As you progress through course, your course material and assessments will become available to you on this page, as outlined below:
Distance Learning – Each cluster/unit becomes automatically available once you have been deemed competent in all of the assessments in the previous cluster/unit.
On-campus – Each cluster/unit becomes available on the same date they are handed out in class.
Please note: Your practical demonstration, logbook and first aid units will be displayed throughout your course so that you are aware of what you will be assessed on in these demonstrations.
As you role your mouse over a cluster it will highlight green. Once you click on it, it will open up. You can do the same thing to collapse the each cluster.
eLearning Course Home Page
When your material becomes available, it will be displayed similar to the example above. To get started you simply start from cluster 1 and work your way up.
You simply click on the icons (which have a small description below them) to; view and read course material, watch class footage and/or practical films
and complete assessments.
Please note: if you are behind on your instalments, ACFB may withhold your material until you are up-to-date.
You will also have icons displaying information on when to commence student clinics, work placement, compulsory student surveys and options to provide feedback.

Course Timetable
When you click on the ‘Month’ on the ‘Calendar’ it will take you to your course timetable.
You will be able to see upcoming classes, when assessments will open and when they are due and upcoming college events.
You can scroll ahead to each month using the month arrows on the top left and right of the calendar.
Distance learning students will be able to see when the next scheduled Group Web Session will be held.
Student Forum
The student form is also a vital part of your student web page. You can post questions to other students and trainers and ACFB regularly posts important timetable updates and class and course information for students.
Please make sure you utilise and get involved with the student forum as it will greatly assist your learning and experience at ACFB.
Completing Assessments
When you click on an assessment icon, you will be directed to this page which outlines when your assessments become available, when they close and how many attempts you are allowed. Unless otherwise specified, you will be able to attempt each assessment twice (2) before the cut off date.
The assessment grading is as follows:
Not Yet Competent (NYC) - 89% and below Competent (C) 90% and above
Please make sure you review the applicable course material prior to completing your assessments.
You need to complete ALL Assessment Activities in Each Cluster.

Go through the assessment and answer all questions.

At the end of your first attempt, you will then be guided to this page which outlines the questions you answered. Please make sure you answer all questions.
Then click – Submit and Finish

You will then be able to review the questions you have answered and whether they are correct or incorrect.
You MUST make a note of any questions you have not answered or that are incorrect so you can correct them on your second attempt.
Please note this will not be displayed when you commence your second attempt.
Overall Feedback

This page outlines the overall mark for this assessment.
You can then reattempt the quiz by selecting – Re-attempt Quiz
Please make sure you review the applicable course material prior to completing your second attempt.
During your second attempt, you only need to answer the questions that were incorrect from your first attempt.

Once you have completed your second attempt, you will directed to this screen again.
EXAMPLE: In the review page from the first attempt, you would have seen that questions 71 to 83 were answered correctly and therefore these correct answers did not need to be changed.
Your assessments results will BUILD on your previous attempt.
EXAMPLE: You receive a mark of 15 out of 20 in your first attempt and then completed your second attempt and answered correctly the 5 questions that were incorrect your final result will be 20 out of 20.

This page will display your final results for your assessments.
Please note: Some assessments are not automatically graded and will be marked by your trainers. Final marks will be displayed on your ‘Grades’ page outlined in the following two pages.
Please note: after an assessment has closed you will need to contact your trainer if you have not yet completed it or if you need an extension.
Extensions will only be given to students who have a valid reason & have requested this at least five (5) days prior to the submission date and who can provide evidence of already commencing their assessment.
Results
You can check your grades / results under the ‘Results / Grades ‘ option on your left hand menu.
