HOW TO ENTER THE SKILLED TRADES

If you have experience and training in a trade from another province, territory or country, the College’s Trade Equivalency Assessment (TEA) can assess your qualifications and experience against all of the training requirements of an Ontario apprenticeship. For more information on the TEA process visit collegeoftrades.ca/trade-assessment

Apprenticeship is a work-based training program that provides access to well-paying jobs that demand a high level of skill, judgement and creativity. Apprentices are paid while they gain work experience, and their wages increase with their skill level. An apprenticeship is a form of post-secondary education.
