Awareness Speech
Taking an Environmental Oath
Solid Waste Management ( in my grandpa’s house)
Coconut Saplings have grown in dry leaves bed, they are natural manure
Recycling Waste clothes (Waste clothes exchanged for vessels, the man collected all clothes for recycling, on the way while I return from my school I took him with me to our apartments)
Donating Saplings (Total Number of Saplings: 1600; 3 or 4 saplings per family. There are 500 houses in the village)
Donating Seeds Packets (short term vegetable seeds pumpkin, ladies finger, bitter guard etc. Total Number of Packets: 500 each packet contains 20 seeds of all vegetable variety)
Constructing Solid Waste Pits in each house in a village
After explaining about solid waste management in the panchayat union school, Sethur near Mayiladuthurai, we have decided to explain how to make a compost pit for each house. Then I have explained about the bio mass and make use of rotten fruits, vegetable wastes, fallen leaves and dry leaves for this. Adults in the corresponding family have dug a pit and they promise to put the wastages in the compost pit.
No doubt after three months it definitely turns into good manure.
Motivating others
On seeing my activities my cousin of age five also has started his first project by donating coconut saplings with me. His friend also has come and joins with us. I have felt very proud and happy about this incident. I believe my small steps definitely lead to a big change. Yes,
“Every Small Steps Leads To A Big Change”

Thank You,
