CONTENTS REMINDERS NOTICES
Everyone loves a lottery! Right? The Concord Senior Citizens Club will be holding a
lottery every month from the general current membership to give two lucky winners a pair of tickets
for our monthly dinners. Names of all current members would be placed in a drum and two names would be drawn in the office and announced in the upcoming
newsletter each month—beginning with this February issue. The two names and each of their guests would
be awarded the tickets. The names of the winners would be hidden among the announcements and
articles within the newsletter (in text boxes or within parentheses—like word search) to encourage reading of the newsletter as well as to encourage participation at
the monthly dinner events. The next month two new names will be drawn from the
current membership, and this procedure will be followed each month giving people additional chances to win throughout the year—two names drawn each
month. All you have to do in order to be eligible is to have paid your current 2019 membership dues. Check your wallet
now to be sure you have the green 2019 membership card, read this newsletter and scan for your name, and then claim your prize—if you’re one of the two lucky
winners this month.

To Catch a Thief Notorious cat burglar John Robie (Cary Grant) has long since retired to tend vineyards on the French Riviera. When a series of robberies is committed in his style, John must clear his name. Armed with a list of people who own the most expensive jewels currently in the area, John begins following the first owner, young Francie (Grace Kelly). When her jewels are stolen, Francie suspects John, destroying their tentative romance. John goes on the lam to
catch the thief and clear his own name. Mon. 2/25/19

Last Bus to Wisdom by Ivan Doig A coming of age tale set in the American West in the early 1950s. Eleven year old Donal is being raised by his grandmother. She ships him off to
live with her sister in Wisconsin while she recovers from surgery. After the overbearing
aunt decides she doesn't want to deal with him and puts him on a bus back to Montana, her
henpecked husband slips away and joins him and many rollicking misadventures follow.
