• Oral presentation (2-5 min)

Board
• Due on Wednesday, February 23rd
• Three sided board (available at Walmart for about $6, Staples for about $12), any colour
Poster criteria
• Include: title, text, images, list of sources
• Clear, catchy title (visible and readable from 10 feet away)
• Chunks of text
• Clarity in writing
• Writing in your own words
• Images should be clearly labelled
• Care/neatness
• Creativity
List of sources
• Make sure to have a list of all your sources of information and include this on your poster
Oral presentation
• Due on Monday, February 28th, 2011
• 2-5 minutes in length
Oral presentation criteria
• 2-5 minutes
• first person perspective (lost voice)
• beginning: introduce character and topic
• middle: interesting information
• end: leave them with something to think about
• thorough
• creative
Prop/3D item
• due on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011
Prop/3D item criteria
• relevant to topic
• enhances project, speaker refers to it in oral presentation
• creative
• carefully done
Answering questions
• Judges and guests will ask you a wide variety of questions, you need to be prepared to answer them
Judging
• Your project will be marked in class by Miss Pollock, yourself and classmates
• At the History Fair, you will be judged by at least two different judges
• You will be judged on all parts of your project and presentation
• Do you oral presentation and answer questions a number of times
• BE CONFIDENT and proud of your work
• Top projects will represent Fielding at the Regional History Fair
