FIELDS OF APPLICATION1) HIDROPRIMER is a prime for absorbent

bases or surfaces such as: gypsum wallboard plaster-board, plaster coats, plaster-bricks, concrete or porous mortars, limecoatings, wood agglomerate boards...HIDROPRIMER is always used beforeapplying HIDROFILM.

2) HIDROFILM is a very elastic paste towaterproof walls and floors in damp areassuch as bathrooms, kitchens, quarteringareas, health/fitness installations, car washes, etc without stagnation or water pressure.

3) HIDROFILM is continuous waterproofing,without overlaps, guaranteeing imperviousness.

4) HIDROFILM is very resistant to waterseepage and is permeable to the diffusionof vapour therefore eliminating any riskof water accumulation.

5) HIDROFILM protects sensitive surfacessuch as plaster and gypsum wallboardplaster-board from humidity

WARNING

Do not apply it on porous surfacesunless previously coated withHIDROPRIMER.

Do not apply on swimming pools(use HIDROFIX)Do not apply on terraces or balconies. (use FIX-TERRATS FIBRE)Do not use as a finishing product. It needs to be protected with cement glue and ceramic tiles.

TECHNICAL FEATURESHIDROPRIMER is a dispersion of syntheticpolymers to prime absorbent bases beforesuch are coated with HIDROFILM.

HIDROFILM is an ultra-flexible preparedpaste that is thinner free to continuouslywaterproof vertical or horizontal surfacesthat will be lined with ceramic tiles glued withflexible cement glue.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USESurface:All surfaces will always be solid, flat, freeof dust, paint, wax, oils and grease. Inaddition, those surfaces that are mademainly of plaster must not exceed a levelof humidity of < 0,3%, and those surfacesmade mainly from mortar cannot exceeda level of humidity of < 0,5%.Application:

Step number 1:On absorbent surfaces such as: gypsumwallboard plaster-board, plaster-coats,plaster-bricks, concrete or porous mortar,lime coating, wood agglomerate boards...apply a sole coat of HIDROPRIMER primeand let dry for at least 2 hours (refer tospecific index card).

Step number 2:Apply FIX-BANDA on all angles and cornersin order to achieve total imperviousness ofthese critical points. FIX-BANDA is an ultra-elastic butyl that is very easy to apply: justwithdraw the protective wrapping.

Step number 3:Apply HIDROFILM according to the following suggestions:• HIDROFILM should not be mixed with

anything. This a single componentproduct that is ready to be used.

• Shake the product slowly with a mixeror suitable device to achieve a wellmixed product.

6) HIDROFILM is suitable for areas thatrequire class I and II resistance to humidityaccording to the ZDB (showers without abase and health/fitness areas in publicand industrial areas with drains installedin the floor, without water accumulation).

7) Applicable indoors.8) It can also be applied on floors fitted with

radiant heating.9) HIDROFILM is not a finishing product. It

must always be protected by gluing ceramicpieces to it with flexible cement glue.

PACKING:

• Apply an even coat with a short-hairlacquering roller.

• Its yellowish colour enables you to easilysee the areas where the product hasto be applied.

• Let the product DRY completely. Afterone hour has elapsed (approximatewaiting period at 20ºC and for moderately absorbent surfaces) the firstcoat should already be dry.

• Apply a second coat criss-crossingthe coats.

Step number 4:When the second coat is completely dry(at least 10 hours), glue the ceramictiles with flexible cement glue such asFIXAGRES FLEX, TECNOFLEX, FIXARAPID FLEX, etc. Use a toothed trowel suitableto the size of the piece to be glued.

Step number 5:Once at least 24 hours have elapsed sincethe ceramic tiles have been placed, rejoinwith FIXCOLOR, EUROCOLOR FLEX,JUNTATEC or CERPOXI.Suggestions to waterproof ceramicshower floors:The waterproofing of the ceramic showerfloors guarantees perfect waterproofing.Both coats of HIDROFILM will achie sufficient thickness and it is necessary to placeFIX-BANDA on all corners and drains. Inthis case, ALWAYS rejoin the ceramicshower floor with CERPOXI.

EXPANSION JOINTS AND JUNCTION JOINTS IN BATHROOMS:We recommend the use of ultra-elastic polyurethane putty SILICONA NEUTRA to ensure aperfect bond and operation of the joints withmovements.CLEANING OF TOOLS:The rollers, basins etc should be cleaned withwater while the product is still sticky. Whenthe product hardens any remains can only becleaned by using mechanical means.YIELDThe consumption of HIDROPRIMER is ofapprox.. 0,08 lt. to 0,15 lt./sq. mt accordingto the absorption of the surface.The consumption of HIDROFILM for 2 coatsis of 1,0 – 1,25 Kg /sq. mt.
