Dear Friends,Help our Girls Move Mountains! Our Girls on the Run Utah is on a mission to empower girls and give them the tools they need to become our future leaders. Our nonprofit provides a fun, supportive and positive place to grow both mentally and physically.
Our 2020 program will run from March 2 – May 30, 2020 and reach more than 1,600 girls (ages 8-14) on 130 teams in 10 Utah counties. In addition, 500 volunteer coaches will mentor our girls, contributing over 38,000 volunteer hours. The 10-week program culminates with a celebratory 5K event on May 30th, 2020 at Sugar House Park. This is truly an inspirational event, with more than 6,000 runners and spectators coming together to support the girls’ hard work.
Camp GOTR is held throughout the summer and provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for girls to develop self-confidence and have fun with friends. During this week-long, half day camp 3rd – 5th grade girls will enjoy being physically active, expressing creativity through arts and crafts and storytelling, and engaging in interactive lessons while building meaningful connections.
Our Utah girls need your support! As the demand for our program increases, so do our funding needs. We never turn a girl away because of inability to pay for the program. 55% of the girls in our program have a household income below the poverty level and depend on support from donors like you.
Girls on the Run Utah is a 2019 Utah Diversity Connections Business Diversity Award winner in the category of small-sized business. At Girls on the Run, we celebrate the benefits of a diverse community coming together to promote health and wellness. Join the cause and positively impact the lives of the girls right in our own backyard. Please unite with us in raising $750,000 to meet our 2020 scholarship and program needs.
We can’t run without you!
