What is Health Literacy?
• The degree to which individuals have the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions.

– Write down an illness that occurs in your community and/or that you would like to know more about.
– Write down a mental health illness that you have heard of, but you aren’t quite sure what its full definition is.
