2.1 Safety precaution
For installation and operation purpose, please read this manual carefully beforeproceeding. This manual includes how the SOYO series Grid-tied inverter shouldbe handled, including transportation, installation, operation, maintenance, andtroubleshooting should any unexpected error occurred while in use.
This user manual covers the SOYO series of Grid-tied inverters.
Please check package content when product is in your possession. We do our bestto ensure the content of package to be correct, and necessary precaution is takenon packaging at factory to prevent damages caused during transportation, however,if there was any unforeseeable circumstances that lead to damaging of goodsbefore reaches you, DO NOT proceed with installation, kindly let your dealer knowabout it, or call our service department to resolve your situation. 3. Introduction to the SOYO series Grid-tied inverter
The inverter's safe and sound operation, correct way of transporting,storing, assembling, installing, operating, and servicing the unit.
All operations and cabling connections must be done by proper electricians ormechanical engineers, and electric power installation to be in compliance with localelectricity codes.
Prior to inspecting and servicing the unit, ensure a good multi-meter is used tocheck that NO AC or DC voltages existed in the unit before proceeding.
Follow the procedure listed in this manual, strictly work in accordance with thesafety precautions and hazardous signages.
The SOYO series Grid-tied inverter is used in photovoltaic system, it maximises theoutput of photovoltaic solar energy from solar modules, and allows the energy to beconverted and fed through the power utility grid for normal everyday uses.

3.1 Product explained A Grid-tied photovoltaic system is made up of panels consisting solar modules toreceive PV arrays, from here the solar energy is collected and formed as a directelectrical current, feeding through a Grid-tied inverter, transforms from DC to AC, thengoes through a metering device, measuring and recording the amount of energygenerated by the system, before feeding the power to the local utility grid. Our SOYOseries Grid-tied inverters play an important role by ensuring the whole transformingprocess is safely conducted, converting DC from solar system into single phase ACwith correct voltages, same frequencies and phase, and the output sinewaves of theAC power totally matches our everyday used electricity. 5. Installation
SOYO series grid-tied inverter has an automated working order, without needing tomonitor. On detection the power output from solar panels, device will decide if thepower was large enough to begin the conversion process. Coversion processincludes 5 modes, Startup, Grid-tied begin, Standby, Stop, Fault-find.
Startup - When the start button is on, solar panel and grid lines both connectedin normal condition, inverter enters working condition.
Grid-tied begin - Grid-tied begin mode is when inverter starts to convert theDirect Current fed through from PV solar panel to a stable Alternate Current andflow to the utility grid. To enable the maximum output of energy, the device usesMPPT control technology to track sun rays, this technology promises the maximumefficiency under diferent daylight and temperature conditions.
Standby - Standby mode is when device detects insufficient power feedingthrough from the solar panel, or device detects abnormal status such as voltages,frequencies, and temperatures not in the permitted range, the device entersstandby mode.
Stop - Insufficient sunlight hence insufficient PV power feeding through to thedevice and device enters into the standby mode, when this condition continues andDC voltages falls below 12V for over 1 minute, the device will enter Stop mode.
When error ocurs, fault find indicator starts flashing, device will enter Stop mode.Please see 3.4 error status on LED indicator.
