Regional Economic Development Councils (cont’d)Each Council developed long-term strategic plans for economic growth for their
regions.
Plans were developed with considerable public engagement, including hundreds of public meetings and community workshops across State.
Councils will use endorsements standards when reviewing CFAs and consider degree to which application helps implement the region.
Councils will assign each project a single score of 20, 15, 10, 5, or 0 based on merit.

Files Management
Systematic control of active files, beginning at point when files are created.
Active files can be paper, electronic, or micrographic. Managing active files well will make managing inactive files easier.
Document Conversion & AccessLocal governments may choose to convert records to another format through microfilming or imaging, or a combination of these.
Microfilming is appropriate for records used infrequently with retention periods of 10 years or more.
Imaging is a valuable tool for enhancingaccess to records.
Geographic Information SystemsRobust database system designed to store, retrieve, view, & allow analysis of geographically referenced information.
GIS links or integrates information from multiple sources that would be difficult to associate through other means.
Records Systems
Supports implementation projects for recordkeeping systems not covered under another category.
