Montgomery ISD New Schools
Aswe all know,Montgomery voters approved a $256.75millionbondforMontgomeryISDandmostofthebondmoneywillgotowardtheconstructionofthreenewfacilities:ahighschool,amiddleschoolandanelementaryschool.Theproposedlocationsforthenewschoolsareestimatedtobeabout8milesfromourneighborhood,GrandLakeEstates.
MontgomeryISDwillhavefewerschooltransitionsandgraderealignmentthroughoutthedistrict.ThenewhighschoolwillbebuiltatFM2854,northwestofRabonChapelRoadandwillhousegrades9-12.RenovationswillbemadetoMontgomeryJunior High School to serve grades 6-8. MontgomeryIntermediate School andMontgomeryMiddle School bothwillmake improvements to accommodate pre-kindergartenthroughfifth-gradestudents.Thenewmiddleschool(6-8)andnewelementaryschool(PK-5)willbebuiltatKeenanCutoffRoad.Consequently,allelementaryschoolsinthedistrictwilladdthe5thgradetotheircampuses.
