• Globally, we are some of the most fortunate citizens in the world with access to amenities some countries will never have (good roads, stable infrastructure, secure policing, world renowned healthcare)

• Even small contributions of time and effort can have a massive impact (Its not all about the global advertising schemes of Oxfam and WaterAid)

What We’ve Done

• Medical Work (HIV testing, Malaria screening, Immunisations, Emergency wound clinics)

• Teaching (English, Basic daily living, Social skills, Importance of contraception)

• Friendship (Creating community ties, Encouraging communication, Sharing cultural experiences)

What We Gained

• Increased appreciation for what we have • The ability to be flexible• Amazing insights into different cultures • First hand experience in different healthcare

settings (Important for science related careers such as medicine)
