OUT OF NOTHING CREATE SOMETHING
Artisan and founder, Patrick Girard brings his unique vision and talent to each of his hand-crafted pottery pieces resulting in exceptional style, form and function for your home, office or as the perfect gift for any occasion. His handmade, original pottery is one of a kind, customized to your tastes and delivered to you at affordable prices.
What makes a potter one of a kind?
It is a rare thing in modern times to know where your products come from, let alone
the person that made them. Every piece Patrick creates is its own work of art and
he makes it as if it has its own right to exist. He embraces the individuality each
piece exhibits and revels in creating something out of nothing.
It is his mission to put a piece of handmade pottery into everyones home. Even if
you only sip your coffee from it, when you put your fingers through the handle of that mug, it may very well be the only one that fits your palm perfectly. The texture and indentation from his thumb where he attached the handle, hopefully, reminds
you that there is still a place in the world for handmade products.
Patrick is very proud to offer the best of what he is capable of making and he is
humbled to share in the connection his work makes with his customers in their lives
every day.
What Makes Dinnerware One of a Kind?
Growing up, the Girard family ate weekly dinners on their Grandmothers blue
Currier & Ives/Royal China dishes. Today, those dishes are still stored in the china cabinet, but they are no longer just some plates and cups. They have become vivid reminders of stories shared and enjoyed at hundreds of family dinners.
In a world where family dinners are few and far between and tradition has fallen by
the wayside. Girard Stoneware offers a way to once again connect over a bowl of
homemade soup, plate of pasta or cup of coffee. Each piece in the Girard
Stoneware custom collection is unique to you, to what defines your style, right down to size, shape and color. The pieces are all hand thrown, trimmed, fired and glazed in the studio resulting in simple, functional dinnerware that is made to be
used for every occasion. Girard Stoneware invites you to pass your family stories
on one-of-a-kind dinnerware.

POTTERY IS A MEDIUM THAT IS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE
What Makes A Plate, Bowl, Mug One of a Kind?
Using only high-quality materials in their purest form a ball of clay is hand-thrown to
form a plate, a mug, a serving bowl or a platter. The clay is then delicately molded and hand-trimmed to the right shape, size and thickness resulting in a unique piece
each and every time.
