Gina Krog (1847 – 1916)
From Karmøy but born at Flakstad in Lofoten
Gina fought for women’s right in the
workplace, society and politics. She
believed that women should have the
same right-to-vote as men and her dream
was realised in 1913.
The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and
Energy decided to rename the Dagny
field to the Gina Krog field on 8 March
2013.
