When GFIA was launched in Abu Dhabi back in 2014, it was done with the support of over 40 influential partners such as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Bank, that wanted a platform to show the world how technology gives us the only real chance of feeding nine billion people without destroying the environment.

INNOVATIONS THEATREForty innovators took to the stage across the two days, They had 10 minutes each to tell the audience why their innovations is shaping the future of farming and food production around the world.
SUSTAINABLE DATE PALM TECHNOLOGY CENTRE A showcase of solutions for crop protection, irrigation, post-harvest losses, soil management and cultivation for one of the most important crops in the Middle East.
ANIMAL AND PROTEIN PRODUCTION ZONEA showcase of award-winning livestock was joined by companies showcasing solutions in feed, disease management, reproduction, nutrition and protein production.
HOSTED FARMERS’ PROGRAMME150 buyers from some of the largest farms in the region and emerging markets of Africa and Asia were fully hosted for two days of meetings with exhibitors.
ADFCA HOSTED SCIENTIST PROGRAMMEHeld in partnership with the University of Arizona, this programme hosted 150 scientists from around the world to collaborate with a broad cross-section of participants.
