How To Check Your Computer Specs Windows macOS Press the windows key + pause break. Check the version of Windows and the amount of RAM.
Click the Apple logo in the top left of the screen and click about this mac.
Open the start menu in the bottom left, type “This PC”, and select the app with the same name.
Check the version number and amount of memory.
Check the amount of free storage.
Click on the storage tab and check the amount of free storage.

Install Open Broadcaster Software 1. Download the OBS software for your operating system.
Windows macOS
64 bit Catalina 10.13+
Sierra 10.12 and below
2. Start the installation.
a. Double-click the downloaded file to launch the installer.
Windows macOS
Click Run.
Drag OBS icon to Applications folder.

Click Next.
Click Install.
Click Finish.

3. Launch OBS to verify it installed correctly.
a. Double-click the apps shortcut to launch. Windows: Start Menu or Desktop macOS: In Applications folder.
PC macOS
4. Give access to the computer's microphone if prompted.
5. Click Yes to run through the Auto-Configuration Wizard.
a. Useful Information Click Optimize just for recording, I will not be streaming. Click Next.
b. Video Settings Click Next.

c. Final Results Wait for test to complete. Click Apply Settings.
6. Installation of OBS is complete!

(FOR macOS ONLY) Install iShowU Audio Capture
1. Download the iShowU Audio Capture software for your version of macOS.

2. Open the installer.
a. Double-click the downloaded .dmg file.
3. Start the installation.
a. Double-click the iShowU .pkg icon.

4. Click Continue.
5. Click Continue.
6. Click Continue.

7. Click Install.
8. Click Continue Installation.

9. Enter the password to the computer, then click Install Software.
10. PAUSE at the System Extension Blocked pop-up.
a. Based on your macOS version there may be a button present that allows you to Open the Security Preferences. If so, click the Open Security Preferences button.

b. If not, open the System Preferences manually and click on Security &
Privacy. Then, click the Allow button for "Shiny White Box Limited".
c. Return to your in-progress installation and click OK.
11. Click Restart if prompted. May just say Close.

12. Click Move to Trash
13. After the restart or close of installation verify that iShowU installed.
a. Open System Preferences and click Sound.
b. Click the Output tab. Verify that iShowU Audio Capture is in the "Select a device for sound output:" list.

14. iShow installation is complete.
(OPTIONAL) Install DaVinci Resolve Video Editing Software
1. If familiar, campers can use their own video editing software.
a. Common video editing software: macOS: iMovie, Final Cut Pro Windows: DaVinci, Video Editor, Adobe Premiere
b. If not familiar, proceed to the next step to install a free video editing software that will be taught during the course.
2. Download the DaVinci software for your operating system.
Windows macOS
64 bit 10.13 or later
3. Double-click the downloaded file to launch the installer.
a. Follow the install prompts.
Windows macOS
Uncheck everything except DaVaVinci Resolve 16. Click Install.
Double-click Install DAVinci 16.

Click Next.
Click Continue
Accept Agreement. Click Next.
Click Continue. Accept Agreement.
Click Next. Click Customize.

Click Install.
Uncheck everything except DaVinci Resolve 16. Click Install.
Click Finish. Click Close.

Click OK.
Click Move to Trash
4. Launch DaVinci Resolve to verify it installed correctly.
a. Double-click DaVinci's application shortcut. Windows: Located in the Start Menu or the Desktop. macOS: Located in the Application/DaVinci Resolve folder.

5. Installation of DaVinci Resolve is complete.

For Minecraft Let's Play Videos Option 1: Already have Minecraft installed using a paid account?
a. Launch Minecraft. Nothing to do now.
b. NOTE: This option is highly recommended by installing Minecraft ($27 account) through this link: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/
Option 2: Don't have Minecraft installed or a paid account?
a. Install MCreator using instructions below.
b. Warning: This could take 45 minutes and is not recommended for this course. The paid version in Option 1 is easier and faster.
Install MCreator 1. Click the link for your operating system to download MCreator.
Windows 64 bit Mac 64 bit
a. Save the installation file to a familiar place
2. Refer to the MCreator installation instructions for help.
Windows Mac
3. Double-click the installation file to install.
a. Follow the prompts
b. Wait for the install to complete

4. Launch MCreator.
a. MCreator's shortcut should now appear on your Desktop
b. When you launch MCreator, click Skip when asked to log into Pylo
5. Setup a workspace.
a. Click New Workspace.
6. Complete the workspace details Mod display name: Enter student first name. e.g., sally Mod ID: Automatically completed Minecraft version (generator): Minecraft Forge for 1.15.2 Click Create new workspace

7. Allow MCreator to set up the newly created workspace.
a. This could take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes based on computer specsLaunch Minecraft.
a. Look to the top right of the app
b. Click the to run Minecraft
