2009 – 2010 GBA
Section Rep position descriptionThe Section Reps represent the interests of each section of the 1st year class. They will work closely with the GBA and the Program Office to ensure that the voice of the 2011 class is heard. • Responsibilities include:
– Liaison between GBA and 1st Years; participate in GBA meetings (1 hr per week)– Advise Program Office on issues affecting 1st Years; meet with Program Office biweekly– Encourage participation by 1st Years in school-wide programs (spokesperson in your section
for fundraisers, section-wide announcements, etc.)– Coordinate section-wide activities as applicable (lunches, outings, etc.)– Distribute and submit course evaluations for fall semester courses
• Key Events the Section Reps are responsible for:– Courage event (i.e. skydiving) (Fall and/or Spring)– Section Feud (Fall)– Canned food drive (Fall)– Brand check (Fall or Spring)
Section Rep is a great opportunity to get a perspective on the entire community

• Saturday [August 22nd], 8 pm: Nominations & Acceptances are closed• Monday [August 24th]: Speeches at the end or beginning of class (details to
be posted on MBA11)– 2 minutes
• Monday [August 24th], 1 pm – Wednesday [August 26th], 8 pm: Voting– Liz will post a link to MBA11 to vote– Tool is bulletproof – secure, eliminates run-offs– Will close promptly at 8 pm on Wednesday
• Thursday [August 27th] – Results announced
