Gymnastics
they are
committed in
their support to finding the
cure for Breast Cancer. In
recent years they have put
teams in Breast Cancer walks.
They also designed, created,
and donated bras to be
auctioned at Pink Night for
the past 4 years as well as
Grand Blanc Gymnastics Company-
Flipping For a Cure
donated items to their silent
auction. Every October Grand
Blanc Gymnastics holds a
"Not So Haunted House" for
children 10 and under and
donate a portion of the
proceeds to Breast Cancer
research. This disease has
affected many of our loved
ones and they will continue to
support this noble cause and
urge fellow community
businesses to do the same.

Construction on the estimated
$2 million dollar Hurley
Children’s Center, located on
the second floor of the Flint
Farmers’ Market, has been
completed.
The new center combines a
fun, colorful, kid-friendly
design with state-of-the-art
care and technology. It totals
10,300 square feet and
encompasses 12 pediatric
specialty clinics, 24 exam
rooms, a lab, an innovative
teaching area and much more.
Future plans also include
Hurley Children’s Center Opens at Flint
Farmer’s Market
having prescriptions delivered
to the center from the H-Care
pharmacy located at Hurley
Medical Center.
The project is a collaborative
effort of Hurley Children’s
Hospital and the Uptown
Reinvestment Corporation
(URC), which operates the
Flint Farmers’ Market. The
Charles Stewart Mott
Foundation has provided
$1 million in funding for the
project through grants to the
Foundation for the URC.

Vacation” Campaign.

canned food. This equates to
81,618 pounds of food, which
will provide 54,412 meals for
neighbors in the communities
who are served by the Food
Bank of Eastern Michigan
through local community
food centers, and food
pantries.

The Kristy Cantleberry Team

Interns this summer.
JeMiah Gibbs, a Wayne State
University student studying to
be a pediatrician and

Valley State student enrolled
in the journalism program.
Both interns worked on
special projects including
marketing and organizational
projects for the team. They
were hired through the Flint
Genesee Teen Quest Program.
