This intro is a great example of how to use chord shots and scale runs to set up a Samba in a major key. This entire intro
is centered around a dominant 7 chord, in this case a G11. It starts off with chord shots, then a run, and then a G11 chord
again but higher up the keyboard. On bar four there is a small rhythmic figure using the notes of the dominant to set up
the beginning of the piece.

This intro shows how to start a fast Latin song in the key of Ab using two chords. We start with EMaj7, then go on to play
higher notes on the piano while holding down the damper pedal. On bars three and four, the piano goes down a
semitone to Eb11, which is the dominant seventh chord in this case

G augmented chords.

The chord progression is in Fm in this intro, and is fairly basic. This intro can be used to set up a minor key samba. The
example here starts with the minor I for two bars followed by Gm7b5 and C7b9 on bar four. For the first few bars the
piano plays in unison a few octaves apart, using some grace notes leading to G. In bars three and four, the piano is
playing in thirds, and then a C7b9 with an arpeggio leading to the set up bar.

This intro is based on two chords for a Samba in a minor key. The two chords in Am are Am11 and Am7 for a few bars,
then up to Bb Lydian, which is essentially a BbMaj7 with a 9, a raised 11th (which is an E natural) and a G. The right hand
moves up the dorian scale starting on the 11th and ends on a trill while holding down the damper pedal. When the Bb
Lydian chord comes, the piano is holding down the damper and picking some notes from the Bb Lydian scale and playing
them in a rhythmic fashion.

push into the I. The right hand plays a fill up to the II-V that leads to the IV and ends on an A7 alt.
