MacFloydFriday 14th August • 8pm

MacFloyd make a welcome return to FTH with an evening of Pink Floyd classics from the early days of Meddle Through, The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall to more recent songs from A Momentary Lapse and The Division Bell.

Featuring tracks never performed before by MacFloyd in their previous appearance, fans are in for a real treat of 70’s psychedelia, with lasers and special effects.

Aside from an ever improving light show, the band takes pride in performing all the Floyd numbers with accuracy and detail thanks to a multi talented 8 piece line up. Only in this way are MacFloyd able to perform every single detail in Pink Floyd’s music completely live!

Dave Spikey Best Medicine Tour Friday 16th October • 7.30pm (no interval)

Dave is probably best known for co-writing and co-starring with Peter Kay as Jerry St Clair in Ch4s TV’s Phoenix Nights and as team captain on four series of 8 out of 10 Cats and host of Bullseye. More recently he has written and co-starred in ITV comedy Dead Man Weds and BBC1’s Magnolia.

Dave’s dad used to say to “Laughter is the Best Medicine” - which is why , when he was six he nearly died of diphtheria. In later years he worked as a biomedical scientist and discovered that when we laugh we release a cocktail of chemicals which reduce stress, lift depression, boost the immune system and here’s the clincher.... burn calories!

So come along and laugh at tales of stunned guinea pigs, wasp allergies, dancing for dobbers, laxative chocolate and the many ways you can “make your own fun”. Hopefully you’ll go away in much better health PLUS if you laugh for one hour you’ll burn off 200 Calories and that’s a pint of lager!

Kirkland Ciccone Plays Pop!Friday 6th November • 8pm

There have been many great singers who have astounded us with their profound musical talent, and stunned us with their lyrical capability and solemn faces. Kirkland Ciccone Plays Pop is not about them.

Kirkland returns to FTH after his hit show A Secret History of Falkirk. This show is a live time warp through the decades of pop music from the 50’s to the 90’s. Rubbish dance routines (and a possible asthma attack), pictures, videos, Kirkland’s acid tongue and barmy dress sense will be all be deployed to whimsical effect. Honourary mentions will go to the likes of Alma Cogan, The Two Richards (Little and Cliff), The Beatles, Bowie, The Smiths, The Shangri-Las, Spice Girls, The Bay City Rollers, Madonna, Sex Pistols, Betty Boo, Girls Aloud and many more.

Which 60’s popstar shared a cell with Myra Hindley? Which punk icon gave it all up after seeing a UFO? Which member of Steps did Kirkland’s sister ban from her pub? And what does Kate Bush’s postman really think about her? Dig out those old Smash Hits and start doing the do!

Five members of the Out of the Dark Writers Group explore a range of genres and emotions in a fascinating collection of new drama that is poignant, cutting-edge and startling.

A surreal comedy about a paranoid woman in Dunfermline, convinced that there are Al Quaeda terrorist cells round every corner.

A true life account of schizophrenia where the voices in your head are getting louder and louder.

A young man confronts his older self in an attempt to understand his inability to cry.

A family drama about a carer looking after his chronically depressed father.
