MBA in Human Resource Management (One Year) The primary objective of the MBA in Human Resource Management & Corporate Strategy is to provide
the knowledge and technical skills to an effective management of human resources and strategic decision
making. Through an in-depth understanding of the latest human resources theory and best practice,
students will be able to challenge and inform managerial strategic decision making and extend their knowledge and practice across different global contexts.

it can play in achieving a competitive
advantage in a dynamic, global
environment
Develop strategic skills and thinking to
become an organisational change agent,
while effectively managing day-to-day
operational needs
Learn to manage and retain talent across
borders, continents and cultures

business priorities and how HR can
contribute to broader corporate strategic
objectives.
At the end of the programme students will
be able to:
Acquire the technical skills required in human
resource management
Identify the importance of motivation in
terms of knowledge and practice as well as
maintain talentful employees by reducing

Entry Requirements Entry requirements are flexible and are based on a candidate’s proven
academic ability, motivation, experience as a manager or business executive
and an assessment of the benefits that he or she is likely to derive from the MBA Programme.
The decision of the Board regarding admissions is final. No Reason for
acceptance or rejection will be given to candidates or to anyone else. The Institute reserves the right to vary its admission criteria from time to time. The
Academic Registrar is responsible for the interpretation of the admission criteria and may impose other conditions to be satisfied before admission.
Note that the usual minimum academic qualifications for entry onto the MBA program required are:
a) a first Degree in any discipline from this Institute or b) a second class Honours Degree from a British or US accredited University
or c) any other approved and recognised English speaking University or
d) a professional qualification in a subject such as Accounting, Marketing,
Insurance, Shipping etc., from a UK Chartered Examining Body.

THESIS - A PREREQUISITE FOR ALL MBA PROGRAMMES
The 10,000-word thesis is a major part of the MBA and a student not
submitting an up-to-standard thesis will not be awarded the MBA. The thesis must be submitted by the completion of the MBA programme. Students,
however, are encouraged to begin thinking about the area of concentration long before the completion of the programme. The Thesis must be on a topic
agreed with the student’s Tutor and should have a research bias. Duration
Minimum period : 12 months
Maximum period : 36 months
STRUCTURE OF CIM(BVI) MBA in
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
ALL MBA programmes are made up of THREE compulsory modules PLUS a
compulsory thesis assignment. On top of these, students are required to study and
successfully complete from FOUR TO SEVEN electives, allocated to the student
by the Institute based on the candidate’s existing academic credentials.
