UK NARIC offers a range of services to organisations. Online databases of information relating to global education systems draw together all the country-specific intelligence and insight we gather.
Over 800 organisations use the UK NARIC service; over 200 are based overseas.

In the past 18 months there have been substantial increases in both the number of enquiries UK NARIC receive from members and the usage of our principal database International Comparisons. The major reason for the current surge of interest is compliance oriented.

Europass Language Passport
• Helps individuals to promote their language abilities.• Users record their:
• informal language skills –self assessment CEFR;• academic language courses;• linguistic experience – work or study placements.

Europass Mobility
• Often used to record work placements, academic or Erasmus + placements
• Completed by the organisations responsible for organising and hosting the experience
• Helps individuals to identify key skills when applying for work and study
• Intended for any person undergoing a mobility experience whatever their age or level of education

Europass Certificate Supplement
• A supplement to a vocational qualification certificate.• Specific to the qualification rather than the individual.• Can be issued in paper format on graduation, or made
available from an online database.• Provides additional information on the degree or
diploma, in particular:• Content, key skills and grading,• Level with in the NQF and information on the
issuing awarding body,• The function of the qualification and any
professional status.• Aids recognition of qualifications.• Helps employers and education providers understand
the level and content of qualifications.
Europass Diploma Supplement
• Developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO.
• Issued to students by Higher Education Institutions on completion of a qualification.
• Provides additional information about the qualification related to its:
• Nature• Level within the national qualification framework• Context• Content• Status
• Aids international transparency and academic / professional recognition by:
• Credential evaluators• Admissions officers• Academics• Employers• Citizens
Higher Education Achievement Report
• Developed in the UK as a result of the Burgess Implementation Steering Group (previously the Measuring and Recording Student Achievement Scoping Group).
• The HEAR incorporates the Diploma Supplement template as an exit document, but there are several additional features:
The HEAR is an on-going student record, accessible by the student at any time during
their academic career.
On completion of studies the HEAR becomes fixed – the HEAR Diploma Supplement.
It is an electronic document, though hard copies can be printed.
It provides additional information on non-academic achievement, verified by the
awarding institution.
HEAR: Current / forecast implementation
• HEAR trialled by 18 HEIs
• Trial extended to an additional 12 HEIs, taking the total to 30
• 16 HEIs have so far issued over 45,000 HEARs to graduates
• An additional 29 institutions expected to issue the HEAR in the next academic year – taking the total number to 45.
• 100 HEIs have indicated they are working towards the HEAR.
• One supplier of IT solutions for issuing the HEAR estimates that it will have issued 300,000 HEARs by September 2014.
